You must go immediately to the website of the US Consulate in Jerusalem. Let me know whether you can find ANYTHING about Israel. As of 11:00 p.m. EST, every single entry/article/announcement is about the "Palestinians" or the "West Bank." NOTHING about Israel. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. In addition, there is an option to link to an Arabic version of the site but not one for Hebrew. Does this bother you? If so, tell Secretary of State Clinton in an email, through her site here, and also tell everyone you know. Today on the Jewish calendar

While reading about the September 12 Tea Party slated for Washington D.C. a speech for that event came to me. However, I am not a speaker for that event, or any other for that matter, so I decided to post my "speech" here so that it could have some outreach:

With the government no longer actively holding reserves of wheat and other commodities how many countries would have to have a bad year before instead of selling our now nonexistent reserves we would have to dip into what we need? I also ask is possible with China so flush with dollars that they could actually out bid us on our own wheat and withour government intervention price us out of our own commodities? And wouldn't government intervent in these actually bring on rationing? Just pondering.

A few of their more risque choices have some taxpayer advocates hot under the collar, including a $50,000 infusion for the Frameline film house, which recently screened Thundercrack, "the world's only underground kinky art porno horror film, complete with four men, three women and a gorilla."

Today, the New York Times provided a report that confirms what a lot of people have suspected. Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz were among the 104 major league players listed as having tested positive for performance-enhancing substances in 2003, lawyers with knowledge of the results told The New York Times. The two were key members of the Boston Red Sox World Series championship teams in 2004 and 2007. The lawyers did not name the substances Ramirez and Ortiz tested positive for, The Times reported.

I'd put my life on the line for free speech, so every time I find myself telling people to shut up and go away, I'm surprised. After all, everyone has a right to his or her own opinion, no matter how deluded he or she may be. Maybe it's just the summer silly season, but it would be hard to say these are slow news days when we've just been through the deaths of Walter Cronkite and Merce Cunningham, when the economy is so bad that even ballet companies are letting ballerinas go, when the Taliban is recruiting children to...

KEYSAR Trad, the longtime spokesman for Muslim cleric Sheik Taj bin al-Hilaly, has been described as "racist" and "offensive" by a judge who today rejected his defamation claim against radio station 2GB. Mr Trad sued the top-rating Sydney station in the NSW Supreme Court after presenter Jason Morrison described him "gutless" and " just trouble" for his conduct at a rally after the Cronulla riots in December 2005. Mr Trad's comment about the "shame of tabloid journalism' caused the crowd to boo and harass a 2GB journalist near the stage. The reporter told Mr Morrison he feared for his safety,...

Like every other week since my 50th birthday,in today's mail I received the envelope from AARP reminding me that I was getting on in years, and that soon I would want to be a member so I can get that discount from the local cinema. Today's letter was different, it sparked me into action, not to join the group but to tell them to stop mailing me the letters as I could not join an organization the could support an anti-senior legislation like Obamacare. The phone call started out very civilly, I pointed out that when the plan talked about...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A key U.S. senator asked the Obama administration on Thursday to explain in detail its policy on the Honduran political crisis, warning that otherwise Senate confirmation may be delayed for a U.S. diplomatic nominee for Latin America. "The complexity of events that led up to the Honduran crisis has given rise to questions regarding U.S. policy," Senator Richard Lugar, one of the Senate's most respected voices on foreign policy, wrote to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The United States has refused to recognize the Honduran government led by Roberto Micheletti, which took over the Central American nation...

Actual photo of police report from 1984 'Think we may have a pattern here? CRANSTON, R.I. -- "Attitude poor" was the note that a Rhode Island state trooper included in a 1984 speeding ticket issued to then Yale professor Henry Louis Gates. Records do lack a description of the words exchanged during the stop. The decades-old incident occurred on I-95 in Richmond, a town south of Providence. Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal Magistrate William Guglietta said it is not unusual. "We get these all the time," said Guglietta. Gates contacted the Rhode Island Traffic Court in 2002, asking to settle the...

From a post I made earlier From the 912 Project page: < “This morn. Glenn, asked for prayer for his family. Something is going on, that isn’t good. We all must pray to our higher powers for him and the family. He also distanced himself from the 912 project.” Has an incident occurred in re his family? I was able to obtain a partial transcript of the Beck radio show that was decribed as above verbatim. This comes from the available audio at glennbeck.com: "Without getting into any specifics, there has been an incident in my life, and I...
