Stop bombing us: Osama isn’t here, says Pakistan Christina Lamb in Karachi Osama bin Laden and the top Al-Qaeda leadership are not in Pakistan, making US missile attacks against them futile, according to the country’s interior minister. “If Osama was in Pakistan we would know, with all the thousands of troops we have sent into the tribal areas in recent months,” Rehman Malik told The Sunday Times. “If he and all these four or five top people were in our area they would have been caught, the way we are searching.” He added: “According to our information Osama is in...

Now that all the obituaries have been written for the latest mass-uprising in Iran, it is time to revisit that continuing uprising. I was reading just yesterday a glib BBC report on how the mullahs had learned from the mistakes that cost the Shah his power in 1979. He was too lenient with the demonstrators of the day and let things, like mourning at funerals for the slain, get out of hand. The mullahs, we learn, have taken care not to repeat his mistakes, and have muffled the demonstrators through much more effective techniques, that maximize terror while minimizing fatalities....

The smell of sulfur hangs heavy in the air as Satan's minions cast open the gates of Hell, to poke America in the eye with sticks dipped in Blasphemy, and dosed with their master's insidious jargon. A few short weeks ago on the “Hardball” program, Newsweek's Assistant Managing Editor, Evan Thomas proclaimed “Obama is like God”, and “ He is a “great teacher” who “stands above everybody.” MSNBC's Chris Matthews grunted in agreement. The lead article in the current edition of Newsweek boosts Luciferian counter-ethics to new heights; “Why Barack Obama represents American Catholics better than the pope does”...

President Obama is a bully, he doesn't like being questioned or crossed. Like most of the bullying kind if you disagree with him he will go after you with personal attacks full guns blaring. Just look at some examples of the people who have crossed the President and got a smack down by the`Bully-in-Chief, or his agents: * Gianna Jessen, a young woman who was born alive after a botched abortion. * Joe the Plumber * Retired Teachers and Cops who's pension funds were the primary investors in Chrysler. * The People at AIG who received contractually obligated bonuses. *...

When Sotomayor faces the Senate Judiciary Committee next week, she will get to explain her "wise Latina" comment...and hasn't been able to address publicly. However, she did discuss it when she made the rounds of senators......she told Sen Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) '[Latina identity] is something that informs my experience, but I'm always going to look to judicial precedent, I'm always going to follow the rule of law.'" Sotomayor told Republicans her wording was "inadvertent" and "inartful," but they will press her hard at the hearing for a persuasive disavowal. "I do think that based on her speeches and writings, that...

The federal government's most secure prison has determined that two books written by President Barack Obama contain material "potentially detrimental to national security" and rejected an inmate's request to read them. Ahmed Omar Abu Ali is serving a 30-year sentence at the federal supermax prison in Florence, Colo., for joining al-Qaida and plotting to assassinate then-President George W. Bush. Last year, Abu Ali requested two books written by Obama: "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope." But prison officials, citing guidance from the FBI, determined that passages in both books contain information that could damage national security.

What recently happened with Uighurs? There are four possible narratives about the Uighurs. (1.) This is not about separatism; (2.) This *is* about separatism; (3.) This started as harmonious, but it may lead to separatism; and (4.) This started out about separatism, but it will lead to harmony. In a process of elimination, we can immediately rule out narrative # 4. Nobody is feeling very harmonious about what recently happened. This article will analyze narratives # 1, 2, and 3. #1. This is not about separatism. In this case, to understand the Urumqi incident of 7.5 [July 5, 2009], it...

Here is a video report from Milwaukee where many Major League Baseball players are claiming Milwaukee's "The Pfister" Hotel is -- well, haunted. "The Pfister Hotel" is used to house visiting team players in town to play the Brewers. Several have had very strange experiences while staying in the hotel, like hearing voices, feeling a presence in the room, and locked doors opening on their own during the night. The video talks with the Brewers Mike Cameron, who is convinced the 116 year-old hotel is haunted. . . . . (Watch Video)

Professor of Law, William A. Jacobson, of Cornell Law School is no fan of the disaster Øbama. He wrote a great piece describing how the anti-christ Øbama is driving this country of a cliff and this certainly would not happen if Palin was our President. If Palin were President, we would not have: • A debt and deficit rising so far out of proportion to historical norms as to threaten the near-and-long term viability of the country’s ability to service the debt without destroying the value of the dollar, and passing on to our children and grandchildren unsustainable burdens.

Something is stirring in this country at the grass roots level. Sure we've seen big turnouts when an event is planned months in advance. But like the Minute Men of old, there is apparently a core group of Tea Partiers and other patriots who can be activated with little or no notice to counter the opposition - and generate more numbers and enthusiasm than the liberals. People are wondering where the Tea Party Movement goes from here. The answer may be simply turning citizens into activists who feel strongly enough about what's happening in America that they drop everything they...

Bounty hunters have killed one of three fugitive hippos who escaped from a zoo founded by the fallen Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar. The other two remain on the run in the north west of the South American country. The one-and-a-half ton male was killed by two hunters near a river in Antioquia province on June 18, but the news was first reported on Friday by Colombian news media. The three mammals bust loose from the zoo two years ago, surviving on the lush vegetation of the steamy Magdalena valley, far from their native Africa, ever since. Colombian wildlife authorities...

A report says senior conservative clerics are concerned over Ayatollah Khamenei's alleged attempt to groom his son for leadership. As protesters return to the streets in Iran to demonstrate against Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the results of the recent election, a new report says that Mr. Khamenei's son, Mojtaba Khamenei, is leading the government's anti-protest militias. The Guardian reports that, according to "a politician with strong connections to the security apparatus" in Iran, Mr. Mojtaba's leading role in the crackdown has "dismayed many of the country's senior clerics, conservative politicians, and Revolutionary Guard generals."

You should have seen the celebrations here when Obama was elected. People are really hoping that he's going to come up with something. He has African roots and an instinct for Africa that he's shown by going to Kenya before. He'll come to Africa more than any other US president. What worries me is that there is still corruption in our governments. It's not easy to put money in and be sure that it will get to the poorest of the poor. It ends up being used by the ministers. I would love Obama to say this is his major...
