Family dog attacks, chases off Bradenton home invader (Good pistol grip?)

Deputies say he broke into a home on Clark Avenue in Bradenton early Friday morning and ran right into the jaws of a pit bull. The gunman fired a shot from a .40 caliber handgun at the dog, but the pit bull didn't back down.

Pit Bull in Bradenton... bet it spoke spanish. Seriously, you really really don’t want to mess with the pit bulls some of those neighborhoods have. Not that pits are one to mess with anytime, but I lived in the Mexican neighborhoods and we got a sharpei just to protect us from the roaming pits.

You gotta love a good story as you get home from work. Crook robs house, runs into stubborn vicious dog, SHOOTS at said dog, DOG takes offense and chases him pell mell through the house (and at least one door), DOG takes BITE OUT OF CRIME, before man retreats with tail between legs. Epilogue: Dog and owners are unhurt and children slept through it all. Good story!

The only shame is that there were not two pit bulls, one to distract the moron and the other one could have prepared the moron for lunch for both pit bulls.
