Actually, I thought #189 was very beautiful with the various shades of blue and the way you framed the vultures with the branches.

Time for a report from Exit148's Loose Change Club!
The total collected was $29.65, which I will round off to $30.00 and will send in when I finish this report. Actually, looking at the state chart, I will round it off a little higher to see if I can inch New Jersey a bit above New York! A little interstate rivalry, there!
But first, a run down. I collected:
72 quarters
62 dimes
66 nickels
215 pennies.
The breakdown:
$18 dollars in quarters
$6.20 in dimes
$3.30 in nickels
$2.15 in pennies.
To show how those figures would add up, for the 4 quarters, over a year, it would result in:
$72 in quarters
$24.80 in dimes
$13.20 in Nickles
$8.60 in pennies
Hope I didn't get in little 'Laz math' there! LOL!
The point of all this is --- it is painless to save change -- even if it is pennies and nickles. Over a years time, it adds up to a respectful donation, yet it doesn't hurt the pocketbook.
But how to get this message out? Who reads these pages except for regular donors?
If people could see how just a little loose change can help, would they become donors and join the club??
I'm now ready to add this to the till -----
Ka Ching!!

Did I tell you -- one morning I opened the door to let the dogs out and there was an armadillo looking at me! I didn't even know we had them in Florida. An armadillo????
LOL ... I'm sorry but if I saw that first thing in the morning, it would totally freak me out

last saturday, there were 9 of em circling the pasture... had to make sure the horses were still standing LOL...
they just circled for about 15 minutes, then caught a thermal and floated up and out of sight... majestic in the air, ugly as sin close up.

The armadillo was very close and didn't move, that's why the dogs didn't notice it.
It was quite beautiful up close and not scary at all. I keep hoping it will come back.
On the other hand, we have a huge alligator in the lake that abuts our back yard. I only saw it once when it was sunning itself on the opposite shore.
Hope it doesn't decide to take a sunbath in our backyard!

My first cup of coffee had not yet kicked in this morning when I had to go out with the little one to wait for the bus. I'm now kicking myself for not having the camera to see if I could capture some of the beautiful sky. The idea of just 1 picture that even reached half of the beauty of one of Valerie's would make me very happy.
I was not exactly functioning properly this morning!!!

You are both most welcome for the troop pix posts. I am glad I came across them in Yahoo News Photos. I'm off to vote and run some chores.

OMG .. this dude on FNC now is doing a poor job defending Davis on the charges of pushing the old lady in his office
He said something to the fact that we all push people ... there's nothing big there
The audience booooooooooooooed him and now he is back tracking ..

My coffee hasn't kicked in either .. I can't seem to get my act together ..
One thing I've learn from Val, is that she takes her camera every where with her.
Now I just need to remember to do that
