oh sheeeeesh! Katie Couric is telling the Matthew Shepard story with music on TV now. BARF! How many horrific crimes happened that same week - and since then? The ONLY reason to revisit it is to push a sympathtic homo rights agenda. As if all the network programming doesn't already do that....
To: ValerieUSA
I haven't watched Katie in such a long time

How was the reunion? LOL! Not over yet!
This is an annual affair and we all take a week's vacation at our favorite beach resort (which happens to be our town). We liked vacationing here so much, we now live here year-round.
We usually get together in June or July, but my brother's daughter had a baby boy this summer, so we postponed it so they could be here with us.
It's still hot enough now when the Florida sun is shining and the Gulf is still warm enough for swimming.

That is so funny!
Looks like they are both wearing the same yellow (can't really call it "blonde") wig.

We usually have our first snow within the next two weeks.
I'll think of you while I'm shoveling :o)

One Christmas Eve, we actually had a snow flurry! Nothing stuck on the ground, though.
I get homesick for snow every Christmas, but that passes very quickly. Florida really is the Sunshine State.

My own rules do not let me read the name matthew shepard without reminding everyone that Jesse Dirkhising, a teenage boy, was brutally raped, tortured and murdered by a monogamous 'homosexual' couple and the mainstream media ignored it.
Remember JESSE DIRKHISING
Now on to fundraising:
I was unable to become a monthly donor until recently. This meant that I met every fundraiser with a somewhat guilty "I guess I better send something".
Now I'm a monthly donor and can post with no guilt and the quarterly fundraiser is no longer to be feared. So all you people who aren't monthly donors (or donors at all), be good to yourself and sign up. Guilt free posting is just a few dollars a month away.

I got snowed in ... ALONE ... last Christmas. (Get out the violins.)
Ended up freezing around 3 dozen homemade dinner rolls. Gave me a winter's-worth of grilled cheese and other sandwich bases. Richer bread than I usually use for 'em though. ;)

I wouldn't mind getting snowed in for a week or so for old times sake.
I always loved snow storms when I was a kid . . . no school and lots of fun in the snow.
I wouldn't trade that childhood for anything.
