The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!
Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.
The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.
Thank you all very much for your continued support.
P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

That is so true, plus the fact that the time passes so quickly, you wonder how they can be all grown up overnight. Then they start coming home to visit and they have white hair. Time and life are fleeting and soon past. IOW, appreciate each day and its blessings.

"I guess what I'm saying is I loved all of it. From then to now. Kids are our gifts to the world and to ourselves"LOL...so true. When it got really trying, I'd remind myself that someday they'd be grown up and gone and the house would be VERY empty. They did. It is. But I DO have all those memories - like never give one of your kids the camera so he can take the Christmas pictures because you have pneumonia and need all you energy just to cook Christmas dinner...
You should SEE the pics from that year : very clear, point blank photos of scowling faces threatening dire consequenses if don't "knock it off!!" and "give ME a turn!!" "Mom gave ME the camera!"
LOL...those were the days. They didn't break the camera though!

I do miss those nights of little cut up pieces of ham and cubed carrots and peas though. Spaghetti-o's all over the face and tippy cups that never seem to stop them from spilling anyway. That about sums up dinner at my house ..*L*
