HELP KEEP THE LIGHTS ON: First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway .. Thread 6

.... ...
The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway!

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.
The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

Thank you all very much for your continued support.
P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.
Donate to FR and help us keep the lights on for the best political forum on the NET!

Because of Free Republic I learned how to make Beer Butt Chicken!!! (Which I made tonight, it's really really great!)

Yes, it's made me more computer literate, too. And I've been directed to many great resources on the web that I never would have found on my own. And I've learned a little bit of HTML. And so much much more.

tomorrow we are having a high of 20 degrees

I'm in a little bit better shape than you - we're expecting a high of 28 tomorrow.

OTOH we were supposed to get to about 35 today - I think the high was 32.

And it is 23 right now.

Give up the Beer Butt Chicken recipe.

Really? I'll have to hunt it down here on the web. Either that or I'll have to type it from my printout. (the horror!) Give me a minute.

LOL. Your mom is a riot. I've been told it's really because of the extremely long exposure times necessary to take pictures in those days.

Well your explanation seems to make more sense .. LOL

Yes mom can be a hoot. She is the baby in her family of 10 kids, 8 girls and 2 boys

Every summer all the aunts would pack up us kids and we would go down to the Jersey shore for the week. They would stay up to all hours laughing and telling the same stories year after year.

My one aunt was a Nun and she would bring down her bingo game and prizes to keep us kids busy at night. I still have the glow in the dark rosary beads I won and after 30 years .. They STILL glow is the dark .. LOL

You're too funny!!!!!

but I can't afford another hour....

I've got to get up way TOOOOOOO early tomorrow (today)

It seems there is this radio talk show host in the northern part of Delaware that has been trying to contact people all over the country about information on the Delaware smoking ban and hasn't bothered calling me.

My contact informatin is in the exact same place as the contact informatin for all the other people he called.

Media - they've got no clue - and I can say that because I used to be one of them!!!!!

I am in Houston where the weather changes at a moment's notice, lol.

Hubby has told me about that about Houston weather - he lived there for 5 or 6 years. But that is no different than Delaware weather - changes minute to minute.
