HELP KEEP THE LIGHTS ON: JOIN THE FREEPATHON AND SUPPORT OUR SITE
First Quarter '03 FReepathon Now Underway
.... ...
The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway! .... Thread 3
Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.
The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.
Thank you all very much for your continued support.
P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.
Donate to FR and help us keep the lights on for the best political forum on the NET!

($5.00 a month per Freeper will end the need for these Freepathons. Sheesh!)

I know what you mean. I got a HUGE nausea attack when I first saw that picture.
GREAT job on the formatting.

Thanks. Hey Mo, my son is supposed to drive up to Pittsburgh on Sunday for a Professional Photographer's Training Seminar. How is it going to be looking with the snow that day?

Do people realize that if everyone donating now became a monthly donor that we wouldn't have to have these fundraisers? Just let FR take it out monthly -- you don't miss it -- no more quarterly fundraisers. Then we could have one big fundraiser once a year for contigency funding! So well said, PhiKapMom.
This is my eleventh Freepathon (but, who's counting) since the first one in June 2000. I gave up 2 1/2 years of lurking to sign on just to help out.
Most people feel that their small donations monthly won't make a difference, BUT THEY DO!
Having an annual contingency FReepathon, if necessary, would be a hoot! Everyone would have a great time.

We all need to have our tag lines to ask for more monthly donors!
Some can be funny! Some can be straight forward! Then some can be well, ?

Great idea, justshe.
Just looking at the "young clintons" might inspire some FReepers to do the right thing.

He's giving a GREAT speech.
He just said that before the caps law in PA went into effect, malpractice claims went up dramatically. He said that tells him that these claims are like the lottery. GREAT point!
