HELP KEEP THE LIGHTS ON: JOIN THE FREEPATHON AND SUPPORT OUR SITE

The Free Republic first quarter '03 FReepathon is now underway! .... Thread 3

Our goal for this fundraiser is the same as last quarter: $65,000. We have about $4,000 per month coming in from monthly donors so we will need to raise approx $53,000 to hit the target.

The funds raised through these fundraisers are used to pay our operating costs. Free Republic operates on an approximate $260,000 annual budget (breakdown here) and all funds are provided by donations from FReepers and Lurkers.

P.S. We are planning to make FreeRepublic.com email addresses available as a thank you to all who donate at least once per year. This new feature should be ready to go within a few days. We will post a notice and a link for donors to setup their FR email address as soon as it's ready.

You guys are doing a great job! Donations are down for everything this year, but FR's doing fine. After 6 days of the Freepathon FR's at 35%. Here's what BADJOE reminded us during the last quarter:

For those who think it took a lot of days, 12 days is a very repectful accomplishment. We had many Freepathons that took 18 days to raise less money. We were spoiled by the lightening fast December 2001 effort, and March and June of this year were pretty fast too (9 or 10 days).

As you know the above billboard was put up in SW Oregon last year thanks to EBuck and other Freepers for a few months.

Now thanks to Ebuck, a new FIRE billboard will be put up in Arizona for a whole year.

This billboard is a prime example of what happens when conservatives get together on Free Republic.

A question to those who don't donate to Free Republic. Isn't just this bill board worth 17 cents a day. This bill board will cause a lot of pain for the Watermelon Green Jihadists in Arizona.
