Its days like today when I think America is hanging by a thread. And that thread is the courageous and good man Donald Trump.

I knew the media would deliberately lie about Charlottesville, but I didn't think the liberal republicans would too. Clearly I overestimated them.

These cowardly republicans still have never learned. Their fate is tied to trump. They go against him and they can forget getting the vote of people like me ever again.

(Sigh) maybe in America 2.0 we will insist on a media that isn’t a bunch of leftists lying filth. Until then, stock up for the coming civil war against the totalitarian left. They are going to rule your life like the Taliban if they get the chance.

I used to have the television on all day way back when. Then I discovered talk radio and as the interwebz grew I discovered a world of internet radio. I no longer have cable, and I get my news online through many sources. And I limit the time I spend on that. Life is much happier when you are busy being productive and don't have an hysterical, biased media in your ears and eyes 24/7. They are not the center of life.

Start contacting both your GOP reps/senators and the RNC. Let them know in no uncertain terms that you support Trump and not the Democrat enablers in the GOPe, and that you are paying attention to what they say and do. More excellent points in your reply. The power of the Internet has given negative events far more scale then they warrant.

My mother is elderly and basically a shut-in. She has allowed herself to become a hostage to the 24/7 assault against Trump by the CNNs of the world. She literally thinks the world is coming apart at the seams due to the sensationalism of the establishment media in their quest to neutralize the presidency of Donald Trump at all costs.

She knows I work in New York City and imagines that I spend my day ducking hordes of anti-Trump protesters that are out for my scalp. I try to tell her that out in the world, life is going on much as before. I have to look really hard - even in New York City - to find any dissent at all. My biggest challenge is what to get for lunch - so many choices!

The power of the Internet and 24/7 media on many channels would make it seem that Donald Trump is making the world come apart at the seams. Absolute rubbish and nonsense. Those who feel that way need to shut their computers and TVs down and come out into the fresh air. I understand the sentiment. And yea, it ain't pretty out there. There is no harm in making preparations (if nothing else, you'll be safe when bad weather takes out the electricity and gas pumps don't work).

But I disagree that it'll be THIS generation that sees the Collapse, and there is nothing we can do to stop Thelma and Louise from going over the cliff.

While Reagan said freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction, he argued that it must be fought for, protected, and handed on to our children for them to do the same. He didn't throw in the towel. Neither did the people who fought back against CNN whey they tried to blackmail the gif poster.

By most accounts, at the time of the Revolution, 20% were Loyalists, 33-45% were Patriots, and the rest were ballast. If you replace Loyalist with statist, and Patriots with Deplorables, we are right where we started. AND YET...I see a future. As did everyone along the journey in the US. You gotta have faith, and a serious assessment of the situation. And nerves of steel.

As noted elsewhere, Liberals have made politics their religion...What they really want is liberal Sharia law, a secular theocracy....for them, politics is the means to secular salvation. The minimum wage, gender equality, nationalized health care, and global warming—whatever their practical virtues—are not just expedient policy prescriptions. They are essential aspects of the liberal fatwa...Question them and you are not just wrong—you are a heretic.

In other words, the enemies of freedom may have some pointed sticks, but they're basically people like this...

It's also worth noting that safety in numbers is also at play. Moldylocks wrote of fear before heading out to Berkeley (where she got clocked) but she was comforted by the (alleged) numbers of equally-deranged secularists (who also got clocked).

I believe, in part, this is why Trump and his retinue keep using Twitter and rallies to remind we Deplorables that, indeed, there's more of us than them, and to not despair. Our steadfast and visible defense of all that is good and right is a partial antidote to this social virus. Everyone wants to win, and one can only hope that further winning will help turn these misguided souls to our side.

I say that today, we shall stand tall, especially after a press conference the likes of which I haven't seen since Reagan fired PATCO. As I said, it's tense out there, and I am fearful that we may let this watershed moment in US history be wasted. But I am confident we won't.

Let us celebrate, fellow Deplorables. Let not our faces be long with #NeverTrumpism or CNN. We are on the ascent. Our President - a billionaire from Queens - is more like us than any other guy we've had in a LONG time. The future of our Nation - nay, civilization - where we'll always have 20% of the citizenry being chronic whiners, is bright again.

It's one of the things that resonates with me so strongly about Trump saying "build the wall" and his insistence on protecting religious liberties. Maybe this time when the Lord looks at us and all we, as a nation are guilty of doing and allowing, He won't find "no one."

I understand the sentiment. The past few weeks have not been easy ones...all the musical chairs in the White House, continued leaks, NK, the riots, rolling famine in other countries, and the loss of European identity and banks propped up by their holdings of sovereign debt.

To be sure, everyone is confident in their driving capabilities but we all carry insurance (yes, I know...it's a government mandate...please work with me!). Just because one looks to the future with hope doesn't mean there shouldn't be a Plan B.

Finally, without getting too Biblical, while we know He wins, we also know it'll get ugly before it gets perfect.

I am sure I've missed MANY things you see on the horizon. I want you to know that I'm not being pollyanna about things.

But lots of people have forecast The End in their Lifetime before. And lots of people have said "but this time it's different." And, while it usually IS different (9/11 wasn't the Cuban Missle Crisis, which wasn't Pearl Harbor), we usually find some way to pull it out in the 9th inning. That 'way' is the spirit of the American.

I don't deny the headwinds. I simply don't think the spirit of the individual American - as dampened as it has been, and facing things it may not have faced previously - is ready to be snuffed out yet.

Thank you for your post. I agree wholeheartedly. We await whatever is coming. If it is spiritual intervention, look for it to be a surprise. In the meantime, pray diligently for President Trump. I have never known of a leader who has been so consistently abused, misrepresented and lied about.

We pretty much agree. My take is that it is quite obvious that it is coming down and, truth be told, a lot of people have been really surprised at how long they’ve been able to kick the can ever further down the road. But the end of the road is coming, and when it arrives, it will happen really, REALLY fast. And the day it DOES happen, someone will be saying to someone else, “people have predicted this for centuries, but it never happened” - and then it does.
