Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) in upstate New York has a solid baseball team this season. In fact, player Kyle Bestle believes “I think we have a real shot at going to the national championship.”
It would be the culmination of years worth of work, practice, and dedication to reach the nationals. A dream come true.
Alas, it is not to be. Why? Is it because of a player injury? An unfortunate outcome in the qualifying tournament?
Not quite.
The HVCC baseball team will not be going to nationals because of Governor Cuomo’s ban on non-essential travel to North Carolina, a state with the radical notion that bathrooms should be separated by biological identification.

Not paying the tuition requirements essentially removes the student athlete from enrollment. In this case, it is not a ^protest^, it is self-exclusion from the institution.

Not so. Upstate New York is American in every way. Been there, in small towns. Just like home.
New York is one of many mostly conservative states that are dominated by the liberalism of one large city.
Cuomo is a jerk; Ted Kennedy mated with Mario Cuomo and this is the result.

More likely, the NCAA will move the tournament and ban teams from NC from participating. At least, that seems to be the flow of bigotry these days.
I've been informed here at FR that transvestitism (I'm old) is not the criteria either...nor is actual sex change - alteration of the sex organs. Rather it is how the subject "identifies" themself....whether they "feel" like a male or female at that moment that is the determining factor.

For the rest of their time in school, team members in uniform should exclusively use the women’s bathrooms on campus. How could anyone object?
