Cruz, Rubio and Kasich criticize Trump for creating ‘environment’ for Chicago protest
The Washington Post ^ | March 11, 2015 | David Weigel

Posted on 03/11/2016 8:31:56 PM PST by lonestar67

"The responsibility for that lies with protesters, who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord," Cruz said

Support it? I’ve been warning against the rhetoric for a long time. Heckler yes I support what he said. The violent attitudes surrounding him for months are toxic. “I just want to watch it all burn”. Was an actual reply I read to a guy saying we need to support the true conservatives in the house and Senate.

It’s not healthy.

What’s next Ted. Are you going to blame the video for these orchestrated attacks by the Left?

The tomato throwing incident occurred in January and a protester was arrested and charged with assault. A few days later Trump was warned that there was information that more tomatoes were going to be thrown from the audience. That's when Trump said, "if you see anybody throwing tomatoes, knock the crap out of them, I'll pay your legal bills".

I'll tell you, if I were at an event with my kids, and people started whipping objects at the crowd or speaker, I'd make sure my kids got to safety, and I'd try to stop it. At the very least, I'd thank the guy with the stones to knock the bully out.

Not one of those people actually read/heard what Cruz said. How can a person have hope for the country when people are so happy to be ignorant?

Did you watch the video? Did you not see what thousands and thousands of others clearly saw? Cruz clearly and deliberately laid the blame for violent, disruptive behavior fromr LaRaza, moveon.org, BLM and other radical groups ON Donald Trump and his campaign!

Geesh...cognitive dissonance much?

I simply asked you to cite when and where Trump said what you are claiming he said.

I’m not claiming he didn’t say it, but I have not heard that anywhere before your post.

YOU and other Trump supporters will and do defend ANYTHING this man does. The cult-like following of Trump is rather repulsive.

Ummmm, scuse me but until tonight I WAS a Ted Cruz supporter. I thought he was the one closest to Ronald “I Paid For This Microphone” Reagan.

It wasn’t Donald trump who steered me from Cruz. It wasn’t Trump supporters who steered me from Cruz nor was it their “cult” that steered me from Cruz. It was Ted Cruz that drove me away tonight by implying that Donald Trump does NOT deserve to have a microphone because of the tone of his message.

If Ted Cruz would join forces with MOVEON, Back Lives Matter, La Raza and George Soros in the middle of the Republican Primary, who on earth would he join once he wins the nomination and enters the general election?

Ted Cruz just lost my support

Tonight I see what many others have been seeing all along. And it’s not good.

“Trump does bear some of the responsibility. He shows poor judgment. Trump’s campaign is fueled on anger.”

That’s sick. You think tonite’s protesters organized themselves because of Trump’s comments in response to bad behavior by protesters at Trump rallies? No, they were “community” organized by MoveOn.org, La Raza, Occupy Wall Street, Code Pink, Black Lives Matter and the like, with the fine hands of the Obama Admin and the Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Admin, working in the background.

That old Chicago Community Organizer Barak Obama, has been hard at work behind the scenes of these protests and you should know that. And sicko’s Rubio and Cruz, just to score cheap political points, are siding with the enemy, the demonstrators in Chicago. There are a lot of Palestinian and other Arab student activists at UIC, and I’ll bet they too are out on the streets tonite.

I know, because I worked as an administrator in the Math Dept. at UIC for many years, until I retired some years back. I am well acquainted with this University in general, a very leftist and activist campus, chock full of radicals (the terrorist Bill Ayers was a Professor at UIC; he just retired).

I know only too well what the Chicago and Campus police are dealing with tonite. May they survive the nite. Cruz and Rubio disgust me by giving further voice to these mobs at the expense of the vast silent majority that deserves to be able to listen to their candidates of choice in peace, without socialist mob threats of shutting down the rallies they choose to attend. These socialists are the true fascists, shutting down free speech. I now despise Rubio and Cruz.

Oh, and just as an aside, I really, really despise Megyn Kelly and her vile show on Fox. Her disgusting anti-Trump crusade with her list of guests and commentators that appear every nite and that loathe Trump also, and the RINO GOPe representatives that are on her show continuously, are a one show Trump hit piece. Kelly stinks, Fox stinks, and I hope after this election season is over, that Fox sinks like a rock in the ratings. Screw them big-time. Fox is destroying its own bbase of viewers.

And as to you, SORE CRUZERMAN pretty well sums it up. Your candidate will also sink like a stone, taking you down with him.

Cruz did too blame Donald Trump. In his slick, snake-like, lawyer talk he laid the blame at Trump’s feet. And its BS!

That was an organized, planned, rally not some spontaneous uprising and Cruz was obviously in on it.

I just want to see where the protestors were violent. I keep looking at videos and I don’t see them hitting anyone. They are joining hands and locking elbows and I saw a few push back when they were shoved by people in I heart Trump tshirts. I don’t like defending the scum.

You're kidding - right, Elyse?

It merely means you’ve lost an election, not that you are a loser. Unless that’s how you view yourself.

Cruz did NOT blame Donald Trump.

Because that would have been indefensible, vile, cynical, beneath contempt, and a reason to forfeit his presidential bid. Correct? If Cruz had blamed Donald Trump?

People who want a real conservative will vote for Cruz.

People who want a North American Union to replace the United States of America vote for Cruz.
