"The responsibility for that lies with protesters, who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord," Cruz said

You seem to be one of the few who think that Cruz played this correctly.
I see your all packed for your free trip on the Canadian Cruz Line
Amen. I am so disgusted at the meek little wimps on this forum.
Leftists and their mobs, with assistance from the media, have been viciously attacking conservatives for years. And what have conservatives been doing? NOTHING! Just lying there and taking it. Being “nice”. The time for being nice is over!
The anti-trumpers want to be “nice’ to the terrorists. They are actually stupid enough to think that you can reason with the Black Lies Matter, La Raza and other terrrorists. You can’t reason with them, because they are feral, subhuman savages. That may sound rough but it’s the truth.
It’s time that conservatives stopped being cowards and fight back, viciously and without mercy. We are at war with these savages. That includes the media.
You’re 100% correct that they hate Trump because he’s not politically correct and doesn’t pander to the savages.
It’s time to treat the ferals just as they treat us.
Immediate question for Cruz. Does Israel’s tone promote violence in the middle east? Are Americans lesser than Israelis?
Wake up.
If our Founders were made of the same pusillanimous slime as Cruz, there would be no America.
Oh God don’t remind me what losers Those three are
(Wheres Pelham)
>> Cruz is a conservative patriot.
He’s a lying, divisive jackass.
I sure hope they do. I think this BLM only helped Trump, like Mitt did.
The Cruz response was not good. He can either stand with working citizens or do the typical blame game. He blamed. He’s been in DC and done nothing but make enemies.
He is total establishment now. He should have stood up for the right of people to go to the Trump rally. No, he blamed Trump? Are you kidding me? He has gone full blown liberal talking points.
You diehard Cruzers cannot possibly support this crap. If you are, you should be ashamed. Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face. We have to win our country back.
Well then I guess you side with Move On. org, Black Lives Matter and George Soros.
No Trump is not a Conservative in the classic sense of William Buckley. Trump is however an unabashed American Patriot. He did not need to run for President. He has a good life as it is with a lovely family.
I am afraid too many of the other Republican candidates especially the one term Senators are too ambitious for their or our own good. Ambition is not necessarily a virtue.
Sorry for being overcritical of your remarks.
“I’d like to punch him in the face.”

There's a zealot faction on both sides. I stayed out of it until the cruzer zealots became too much to bear.
No kidding...we all saw Ted sell his soul tonight for what he thought was political gain. But when you make a deal with the devil you always lose.
Ignore these pussies. The have proven their cowardice.
Not one of those people actually read/heard what Cruz said.
How can a person have hope for the country when people are so happy to be ignorant?
Ted Cruz is responding to Donald Trump's cancellation of his Chicago rally, saying the billionaire has created 'an environment that encourages this sort of nasty discourse.' The Texas senator is calling it a 'sad day.'
He says, 'Political discourse should occur in this country without the threat of violence, without anger and rage and hatred directed at each other.'
Cruz says blame for the events in downtown Chicago rests with the protesters but 'in any campaign responsibility starts at the top.'
Cruz says, 'When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that is escalates. Today is unlikely to be the last such incidence.'
No, it isn’t. I’m done defending Ted Cruz.
I doubt Rush will be doing much blaming. I heard a little of him earlier today where he was explaining how frustrated and angry people are....they are fed up.
We’ll see on Monday.
Trump came after the rage. The rage has been around for 20 years waiting for someone to say, “It’s OK to be mad, they really are screwing you and destroying your country.”
Cruz is a real slime ball.
