Tina Fey gave her fans what they were hoping for all week.
Fey returned to Saturday Night Live to once again play former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on the heels of the political commentator's endorsement of Donald Trump.
Fey appeared as Palin in the cold open alongside the GOP presidential candidate, played by fellow SNL veteran Darrell Hammond.

ANd that answers the question. They don’t attack Obama because he punches back. As does Trump.
You know the answer - the left and the media ate synonyms.
The better question is why doesn’t the right own more of the propaganda outlets?

At least SNL does a less-than-flattering impersonation of Hillary too. They’ve even poked fun at Obama a few times. I’ll give them credit for that. They could be as one-sided as most network comedy shows.
I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.
Even back in the day, Chevy Chase skewered Gerald Ford, who was about as liberal as any Democrat back then, just because he had an “R” next to his name.
No not just one time, many times, it is what SNL does, get over it, it wasn’t personal, it is called politics.
Admittedly, the Jeb joke was the best part of the skit. Thankfully it’ll be out of the news cycle by the next episode - as I don’t think SNL has a good Beck.
I forgot for a minute that i asked you that question and thought the post was directed at me :)
yes, she is all three.
Palin is six years older and looks ten years younger than Fey.
See my post at #24, that was funny about Obama also.
Any skits about Team Hillary’s email crimes and her selling out of America to our enemies?
Tina Fey owes her career to Sarah Palin. After she left SNL, she was quickly fading into obscurity, then along came Sarah Palin and her career was revived.
Yeah... I agree. I thought the whole skit was funny. You do have to have a sense of humor. And like Tina Fey or not.... she had Sarah’s voice down near perfect. The line I liked was fake trump saying “she’s 2 Corinthians short of a bible”. That was just plain funny!
I love Darrell Hammond. I read his autobiography and about his struggles with bipolar. He really went all out to get his caricatures right and funny. He has nailed his Donald Trump for many years.
And there was NOTHING negative about Trump in this skit. Trump comes off good. And funny.
Sarah Palin should have better advisors. She needs a voice coach for real - even those who love her find it hard to stand her timbre and screeching. There are ways to fix both. And her speech was too folksy with the cheesy rhymes etc, and she made the work TOO EASY for SNL.
It is difficult to take her serious sometimes. And she is worse than she used to be. She used to come off as serious and was serious. Now she comes off as a joke. She just does.
See my #43, and watch the vids. There’s one about Palin.

And he's a Gator.
You mean this wasn’t the actual Trump endorsement by Sarah Palin? Sure sounded like the real thing! ;-)
Cringe all you like, the art of persuasion (e.g. advertising) is built on many of the techniques Palin employed (and which Trump uses instinctivel).
Right off, SNL’s parody took Palin’s words to an audience that wouldn’t be caught dead watching a live stream of a candidates event or even a cable news channel. And if you think most of the age group that watches SNL is going to do analysis of her message vs. Tina Fey’s, just watch Jesse Watters.
What they will remember is the blonde guy.
