Some news to report out of Las Vegas where Donald Trump sat down with Field & Stream magazine for an interview during the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s annual SHOT Show.

First up, the GOP front-runner came out against letting states control public lands now run by the federal government saying, “I don’t like the idea because I want to keep the lands great, and you don’t know what the state is going to do."

I would like to see the State of Mississippi in control of Holley Springs National Forrest; Delta National Forrest and DeSoto National Forrest.

People have been known to lie.

I went from preferring Cruz ... to realizing he could not win in a general election .... to thinking he would be a great VP candidate ... to thinking he might would hurt the ticket .... to thinking he would be a good attorney general ... to we’ll see where this goes.

I went from not liking Donald Trump to ........ I like what he’s saying ..... to I am listening ........ to we’ll see where this goes.

I know you dislike Trump which is fair game

The way the polls look now he may sweep primaries even Texas

Unless pedophilia in the closet pops out he will take Iowa and New Hampshire and roll from there

No one has done this since 88 I think

Just pointing what is likely

Y’all can rub my nose in it if wrong

What else dawned on me is a president Donald will of course have Recipe for Suicide of the West pols and media Colbert types chewing on him

But he’ll also have most of GOPe and Conservative punditry class clamouring as well

And the One Worlders in Europe

Regardless of how you detest him

You can sure say he has a fine set of enemies

Why does anyone need to own some lands at all? Why can’t they be free areas open to travel by any party? The need to control every parcel of territory is the need to control people, which I find to antithetical to the task of government. At least American government as I understand it.

The choices are:

Trump who might be able to vs the gopE.

Cruz who will never be allowed to win by the gopE. Nor would he be able to capture one “moderate” vote. (Most who call themselves moderates are really liberal.)

Any of the other rino gopE types.

Sanders who is a socialist.

Hillary who is just plain evil.

When I look at the list I don’t see much to get excited about.

I have nothing to tell. I read the open letter . My mind is still processing what was written. Thus far I have found none that challenges anything written. Politics as usual is not an acceptable response.

This guy's response to every question is “great” - I'll make America great, we'll be a wall better than the Great Wall, trade agreements will be great, government will run great, I'll make the military great, all my polls numbers are great.

Drones line up please.

I was thinking Yosemite Vales and Golf Resort myself. 18th hole called Half Dome. 19th hole a cable car ride to the top.

Or, Colorado National Monument with 50,000 condos in every canyon.

Those two have never counted for much. The delegates are proportional. Cruz will walk out of Iowa with a bunch of delegates.

Trump may end up actually saying something that will wake up his worshippers to the fact that he is not who he claims to be. Then the whole thing will open up.

But you are right. I saw one freeper who posted that he didn't care if Trump performed abortions in the White House as long as he built THE WALL.

The wall is useless under Trumps plan to deport everyone and let the good ones come back in.

But people hear the words "THE WALL" and their brains stop working.

was than an amendment I missed.

and i’ll have to vote for him in the generals..sigh

Leaning Cruz again.

realclearpolitics, which is on the money with trump’s leads over Cruz, shows Cruz beating hillary and trump losing.

just saying..

i think both would beat her in the end.

Why is there “Federal Land” outside of military bases and National Parks voted on by congress?

If the land is not designated as one of the two above, then the land belongs to the States and the people within. If the majority of land is owned by the people (which it should), then the gov’t will benefit from the proper tax revenue. So it seems that holding land in Federal and State gov’t hands is counterproductive to them.

Trump seems to be moving to the center with his statements these days which is very dis-concerning.
