Presidential candidate Donald Trump set off another political firestorm Friday after implying that President George W. Bush was to blame for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, drawing the ire of his Republican rivals.

No, Now you answer mine.
rump has built a fortune through hard work and determination and love for the veterans..
how did that Love Of Veterans Investment work out? what were the returns on his dollar....?
nd shoot from the hip wildness at times
“Hello Mr Putin you two bit hoodlum”
Oh i can SEE that UPSIDE from my backyard
The President who failed to take care of America following the 1993 WTC attack and all other attacks on American interests worldwide, also failed to monitor the activities of those who were entrenched and able to carry out the atrocity Trump mentions, was Bill Clinton, husband of the one who now wants to be entrusted to protect America.
yes because the Ambassador had begged more than once for more protection for an attack that he knew was going to come and Hillary and Obama rejected it because they didn’t want “big footsteps (bigger US military presence)” in Libya
You forget the GOPee and RNC had schemed to dump Jeb on all of us as the nominee. Trump put a monkey wrench into all of that theater. You think Americans (with tons of morons who vote) would put Jeb in the WH? Puhleeeze. We dont have a record for Trump as a politician because he wasn’t one. He sure knew how to build a personal fortune and mini empire. A lot of us are willing to take a calculated chance with him—flaws and all. If Trump turns out to be a BS artist its on him. Should we get another Dem or even RINO in the WH this nation is scrooged anyway.
Bubba deserves most of the blame.
You are 100% right. No one s perfect but Trump was right. The buck stops with the leader. President Bush did not cause it by any means. I think Clinton deserves blame. GO TRUMP.
As a Trump supporter, I certainly would NOT defend him if he had said the GWB was the blame for 9/11. He merely stated a fact, and I think it is one he should have just let go. Things happen during every presidency - we live in a wicked world and the idiots and evils out there will test every president. I don’t know what Trump could have done to have stopped the WTC disaster, or even what Obama could have done to stop Sandy Hook. As much as I detest BO - I don’t blame him for that. I can blame Clinton for not taking out OSB when he had the opportunity 3 different times and refused to take advantage of it. So, I hope Trump clarifies this. I’ll still vote for him, but I wish he wouldn’t say things like this.
Mikey my man— you’re a bucket of negativity in a sea of TDS gloom. ohhh boyyyyyyyyyyy..
‘Next mass attack on our nation, Muslims around the world will no longer have to worry about what direction they kneel, as Mecca will be but a memory and a dust cloud.
‘It is entirely upon the Muslim followers to ensure that their most sacred place isn’t destroyed by the actions of what they claim are radicals, yet their beliefs are shared by the majority of Muslims around the world.’
Make this statement in Russia, US, England, France, Germany, China, Israel, Brazil and India. Make it clear that Mecca will be the retaliatory target and nothing will be left of the site should another mass attack occur. And then carry it out when it does.
The only ‘candidates’ quoted in that article are Trump, Bush, and Carson. NOT any of the others? Hmmmmm. What Trump said is true. What Bush said is, “Hey! d’at’s mah brudder yo speak ‘bout!”
As our dear friends Diamond and Silk so well put it, Bush gets “The Bowl of Stupid”!
Yes. He put our troops square in the thick of a middle eastern civil war and began bombing and shelling one side, all with no coherent strategy for victory. Sound familiar?
It was largely overshadowed by the rescue mission to Granada a few days later, or the political fallout probably would have been worse.
dearestr flabo....
what does “ built a fortune through hard work and determination and love for the veterans..” MEAN exactly
Point by point or one meandering disjointed difficult to read screed your choice
Here let me make this PAINFULLY simple.
how does one build a fortune....with love for veterans???
you stated that he had ..all I need is ONE logical explanation as to how such a thing is possible
Pretty simple facts.
George W Eff up here, and his little brother didn’t state the whole truth.
And we get fake outrage from the little candidates who hover around zero %.
and oh yeah Yeb! got call out on it.
I don't know about the "logic," but, consider this: The majority of hijackers were, in fact, illegal aliens. Their visa applications were a joke-- lots of missing information, bad grammar, and obviously fake stuff, like fake cities and the like. On top of that, they overstayed their Visas.
The irony is that a strong position against illegal immigration, as well as an acknowledgment of Islamic terrorism, would have saved us from 911.
“...ever give ANY thought as to why this rube makes these boneheaded statements like using the word REIGN???”
That word “reign” was brought up yesterday. When you have a president who swears to uphold the laws of the nation and then chooses the ones he wants to ignore, as in the case of immigration laws, then the word reign is apt. Bush also said, in a speech in Florida, just before he was first elected, he would change America, through immigration. He called it the “new America”.
That is what Obama does, and I suppose you have noticed that he is referred to disdainfully as “emperor”.
This is another contrived controversy...
Trump basically said, no matter who’s fault when you are the person in charge, you get and take the blame... AKA... “The Buck Stops Here”... that’s all I got from his comments... and that’s true of leadership, you take the good with the bad... end of the day, if it happens on your watch, you have to deal with it.
FDR said it.
Reagan said it, when he refused to fire anyone when the Barracks were bombed in Lebanon.
This is another attempt to contrive outrage.. was it the smartest line Trump’s ever stated, no, but hardly inferring when you are in charge everything that happens falls on you when you are in a position of leadership is not a controversial concept, in fact its pretty much leadership 101.
