Won’t speak to the safety of the drug as OTC.

From a funding perspective it makes perfect sense. OTC drugs aren’t usually covered by insurance and thus it would be an individuals decision and no one who morally objects would have to pay for it.

Maybe if our nominee had stepped up and called it hogwash things might be different today.

Last time I looked, you COULD get contraceptives over the counter.

And the best contraceptive is free. Don't even need to go the drug store for it.

I’m surprised that Jindal would say this given that he is Catholic.

I have to agree with Bobby on this one. Adverse effects are few and far between.

Some types of birth control pills are abortificients.

And most of them are dangerous. The statistics are have long been known, but of course the media and the medical associations refuse to report them, since that would be politically incorrect.

Not a good idea to start spreading them around any more than they already are.

The problem is birth control drugs are big medicine, with lots of possible side effect and interactions. They’re actually exactly the kind of drug that should be prescription only. Yeah it would end a political football, but at a huge human cost.

Every Christian, except for truly faithful Catholics, has it wrong on The Pill.
It sometimes acts as an abortifacient, ie abortion-murder.
And now Jindal has revealed himself to be something other than what he professes
to be. He loses my support.

Have to agree with Jindal here. This is a pretty obvious limited government federalist solution that would have completely destroyed the democrat argument.

Bobby thinks he’s a medical expert since he delivered one of his own children while his wife was en route to the hospital.

If it were “over the counter” it would be much cheaper, since no ducktors would be skimming a gratuity off of it.

Really, I think a forehead tattoo would be desirable for those stiffling the growth of our population.

Jindal is rapidly losing my approbation...
We need to get the govt OUT of medicine...
STHU abt anything but govt spending, taxes, defense and only things that are in your Constitutional directive...

condoms are over the counter. Women should keep their legs together until they get married...That was the way of life until the 60’s. Females have gotten dumber since then.

I can’t believe that this is true. This isn’t Bobby Jindal. I believe it will be refuted in a couple days or so.
