For a head of state to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of.
Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip seen in Jerusalem tonight as a disastrous humiliation.
After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on Jewish settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisors and “let me know if there is anything new”, a US congressman who spoke to the Prime Minister said today.
“It was awful,” the congressman said. One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House phone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

Why should they?
Israel needed new living space for their citizens in Jerusalem. It is pretty simple. Families grow, they require bigger quarters. So Obama tells them they CAN’T?
He has no right to be “pissed” and carry on like a spoiled brat world tyrant against the sovreign nation of Israel.
I don’t think he’s as charasmatic (meaning draws people in with charm not the religious group) as the anti-christ will be.
That scares me the most, that the left has thought for several years Israel was if not the whole problem a huge part of it.
Part of the left’s rant on fixing blame was, well the muslims wouldn’t hate us so much if we didn’t support Israel.
It is sad yt funny that 1 billion muslims are so frightened by tiny Israel.
Obama made it clear early in his campaign he is anti Israel but I guess decadeds of being Dems meant more than facing the fact an anti semite was about to become President.
I believe 0bama et al think muslims will be our friends if only we renounce israel.

The Obama administration is reportedly softening its stance on tough new measures against Iran in order to win the support of Russia and China for a new round of UN sanctions against Tehran. Citing unnamed officials in Washington, the ‘Wall Street Journal’ reports that previous US proposals, which would have effectively closed international airspace and waters to Iranian state-owned air cargo and shipping lines, had been abandoned. The proposed package of sanctions had also been stripped of plans targeting insurance for certain Iranian companies and the sale of Iranian bonds.
In a first reaction to the report, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said of the Western powers' efforts to implement new sanctions against Iran: "They are just making a fuss. They have ended up humiliating themselves." He added: "Rest assured that your efforts will be fruitless."

Is a dignified couple humiliated by boorish behavior by a lout? No. The lout is seen for what he is, and the couple remain dignified.
Netanyahu is still the stoic statesman and Obama is unmistakably the lout. As louts go, Obama has it down pat. He’s very accomplished at being an idiot-stick in public.

As for the Equatorial Guinea connection, it may just be that Kenya was prime for foreign exchange students. Maybe that was the fad back then or maybe think of it like generation after generation on welfare. With so many Obamas in the tribe, it wouldn't be unusual for there to be more than one born in '61. In the '70s it was Iranians and many of them with the same last name. Currently where I live we have a bunch of Pakistanis with the same last name who "claim" they aren't related.
