Recently Jim Robinson posted two threads declaring Free Republics determination to see Conservatives elected and ousting Rino's from government. Jim and a great many Freepers believe that we need to take back control. But the RNC is not hearing us. Activism is called for NOW. 2010 is nearing and we need Conservative candidates to run. The time is ripe and people are ready for another 1994 type election. But we need to make the RNC hear us loud and clear. This is the Rino Free America Project. Get involved. Make them listen. Write a letter and MAIL it.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am a (member/visitor/friend) of FreeRepublic.com, a non-commercial Conservative website which is "...a political discussion forum and independent grassroots conservative activist group supported by donations from our readers and participants...." (freerepublic.com). I watched the Presidential election with interest. I have watched local, state and federal elections with interest. I have been extremely disappointed with the candidates you have selected to represent Republicans. I have grown weary of candidates who have chosen to ignore conservative ideals, principles and values. Conservatives want strong candidates who are not afraid to stand against liberal agendas, democrats, and the liberal media. Unless I see a commitment by your Republican representatives to protect and defend conservative principles, and actual evidence (legislation and behaviour) that there is change, I will not send in donations nor will I vote for your candidates. I have no desire to support a political party who does not reflect the core values of Conservatives.
I would like to quote the founder of FreeRepublic.com, all of which can be found here http://www.freerepublic.com/home.htm:
"...In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule. After reading what your website says (http://www.gop.com/index.php/learn/what_we_believe/), it is very clear that you don't pick candidates who support or defend your belief system let alone the Conservative belief system. As a result, I believe the Republican Party has left the conservatives. There has been growing evidence that many elected officials are not true Conservatives. Instead, we tend to call them RINO's. RINO's are defined as "Republicans In Name Only". I believe the majority if not all Republican candidates and elected officials are RINO's because of their actions and votes in congress. Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops ... and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.
As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty..."
I believe that you are aware of what a RINO is because after completing a quick search on your gop.com website, I noticed quite a few references to RINO's in the search results. I view RINOs as Republicans who claim to be Conservatives, but use their postition to promote, defend and protect liberal ideas, goals, agendas and legislation. While observing past campaigns, I noticed that your candidates use action phrases, slogans and key words that appeal to conservatives, but after they are elected they fail to promote, defend and protect the Conservative platform. You have compromised without a fight for far too long. This is completely unacceptable.
In conclusion, I declare the following:
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for amnesty for illegal aliens is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for cap-and-trade is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Romneycare, Obamacare, Medicare Part D, or any of the other un-Constitutional Federal health care schemes is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Federal control over education is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Federal take-over is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who is unwilling to repeal Roe v. Wade is a RINO
Whereas Anyone who pushes abortion is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who fails to investigate and prosecute those who are involved in corruption is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE, who pushes for Big Government bailouts, takeovers, and stimulus give-aways is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who pushes gay marriage is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who refuses to defend our nation is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who refuses to secure our nation is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who refuses to secure our borders is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who fails to secure our God-given unalienable rights is a RINO
Whereas ANYONE who fails to abide by the constitution is a RINO
And will not be supported by Conservatives.
Sincerely,
Name
Addresss / State
We have been frustrated and angry at the way we have been treated by the political elite in this country. They have ignored us, belittled us, overlooked us, and singled Conservatives out for their special brand of contempt. It is bad enough when liberals and Democrats do it, but the betrayal of our Constitution, Conservative values and morals at the hands of the party we built and supported for many years has been the ultmate blow to Conservatives.
ARE YOU SICK TO DEATH OF HEARING THAT THE PARTY YOU ONCE TRUSTED TO UPHOLD CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES IS A BIG TENT THAT ADMITS ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN NOTHING IF THEY DECIDE TO WEAR AN 'R' AFTER THEIR NAME??? TELL THEM ABOUT IT!
Write a letter, (it will only take a few minutes of your time) and SEND IT! Not an email. Not a fax. Not a phone call. We want to flood their headquarters with letters they can't ignore. Have your friends and family send as many letters as they can. The value of ONE handwritten letter with words inscribed from the heart, is worth more than ten voices screaming at the top of their lungs. Let them know you are serious.
No more contributions to the RNC (not one cent) If they insist on supporting RINOs who don't adhere to core Conservative principles and values. Tell them in your own words that you will support individual candidates of YOUR choosing on their own merits, and not the party hacks they want to jam down our throats like Dede Scozzafava and Arlen Specter. Tell them why they have reason to fear us. They won't if one or two letters trickle in. We need thousands. DO IT TODAY OR TOMORROW, BUT DO IT!!!
Good point. It’s better to send the money directly to conservative candidates you support.
You are too kind.. It was a group effort. :)
In addition, conservatives need to run for Republican Precinct Committeeman, and continue to do so every two years.
The Republican Party, and the RNC can be taken over from within.
ping~
Hmm, noticed the Bush Doctrine is discussed, the very thing that blindsided Sarah in the unfortunate Gibson interview. Like anyone else knew what it was...
ping!
Interesting that you support the Bush Doctrine yet call him out as a RINO in this clause for supporting/signing Medicare drug coverage. Generally, I agree that he was a RINO as that "compassionate conserative" seemed to be just so much smokescreen.
Thanks for the bump Earthdweller! :)
The RNC doesn’t care about you or FR. If someone wants to influence the Republican party, they are going to have to do it from the bottom up not the top down.
We also need to flood the Republican caucuses and become delegates to their conventions. I watched Ron Paul people become a large influence in a state convention. Their influence impacted the thinking of the rest of the delegates and held Republican feet to the fire in platform issues.
We need to hold school to the Republican Party in the issues of Ronald Regan Conservatism. Too many Republicans see their involvement as belonging to a social club rather than a duty to their country and community. They are mostly dead weight that do nothing but entertain themselves with the event rather than the volunteer work needed to promote right candidates who do not have the money support from the party.
I can't speak for anyone but myself...I support that quote from Jim's quote. :)
If you believe that then the simple answer is don't bother writing a letter. Of course, one can't have an influence on anything if they don't try.
Thank you!
I hope there will be room for the Randian Libertarians...those of Us that want a Libertarian Nation, rather than a Pot smoking Global Utopia.
This is a call out to freepers, lurkers and visitors to CONTACT the rnc... We want them to receive thousands of letters from you, the voter, the donator... voicing the complaints that have been repeated here on FR. Send a carbon copy to the local offices. Let ALL in the RNC know, from the bottom up how you feel and what you think about RINOS.
This is fantastic but can you add additional matter that we will not tolerate -
Any person who supports the fairness doctrine or any form of government censorship, including current unconstitutional election reforms. We will not accept and will fight against those in the current administration who believe in and have plans to place the internet under Government control.
We could also add; we will not tolerate those Republicans who:
Believe the WOT is a law enforcement problem and will not fight against Holders decision to give terrorists constitutional rights.
We will not support Republicans who do not demand full investigations into voter fraud, specifically with ACORN and SEIU.
Republicans who reach across the aisle, unless it’s to slap some sense into a liberal.
I know people can think of more...
Sorry for the long post.
absolutely. That is why I chose different kinds of local volunteer activities. It’s not suppose to be a club...What do we do when the leaders of the local community are focused on gaining more power, rather than protecting our rights?
I just got an email from Dede Scozzafava. She said your post hurt her feelings and now she’s urging people to go to DU instead of Free Republic. ;-)
