Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

I haven’t seen it claimed anywhere the bc on Obama’s website is a copy (or original) of the one he found folded away with the other doc’s he mentions.

Nowhere have I read... Here is the bc mentioned in the book...or words to that effect.

Given what you write, what would be the purpose, then, of providing a fake birth certificate, assuming that's what's happened? And what is the logic behind Obama's continued refusal to provide the original?

I for one am not embarrassed, merely intrigued. Some questions remain, and answers should be expected.

Many of us here have been involved with this for weeks now. I think with each week more comes out. This article tells me that forging a birth certificate is relatively easy to do..

AS I have said here many many times. Obama needs to produce THE BIRTH RECORDS FROM THE HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS BORN IN ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE BC POSTED ON HIS WEBSITE. ANYTHING LESS THAN THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE..

I and others have researched using Ancestry.com and other pay search sites for listings of Obama's birth and his parent's marriage, and nothing has come up.

This in itself proves nothing, but on the other hand, why would his birth not be listed when practically everyone's is listed?

Although an outpost, Hawaii became a state in 1959. And, it became a territory in 1898. It's first governor was a guy named Dole (possibly the pineapple king).

That's another reason that I didn't buy the whole official looking faked birth certificate. I seriously doubt that Hawaii was more sophisticated than Massachusetts in granting birth certificates.

I suspect Obama's birth was recorded by hand in a log of births. Certificates were most likely hand written.

Sis was born in December 1962, Boston. Her birth certificate is hand written and only acknowledges our parents by name.

One wonders if McKinnon didn’t just do this up, send it out, and the underlings grabbed it.

Notice on Obama's official site, his birth certificate says OHBM 1.1 in the lower left corner.

The original document displayed on the Daily KOS website says OHSM 1.1 in the lower left corner.

The million dollar question is: If the Daily KOS document was supplied by a Obama campaign staffer, as was reported, then how on earth can these two documents differ?

There may be a Hawaiian state agency or department with the initials 'OHBM', but I'm not aware of any.

The agency that you request a copy of a birth certificate from is the 'Office of Health Status Monitoring', OHSM.

The genie is out of the bottle now and it's impossible to "take back" the images. They are immortalized all over the web on different sites. Anyone can see this hard proof of skullduggery for themselves.

Why is the certificate # blacked out?

African is not a race! In 1961, wouldn't Negro or Negroid have been used to describe his Father's race instead of African?

Where is the indentation of the official seal and the folded marks, the rest of us have on our valid birth certificate copies?

Last but not least: What are the reverse purple lettering past the last entry line on the lower middle right? What do they mean, and why are they there?

We found out in earlier discussions that some states don't even use the term "birth" on their "certificates" or "statements" or "certifications" or "documents" or ------------ whatever. And any given state may well use different stuff even in the same month, or simultaneously!
