Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)
Israel Insider ^ | 3 July 2008 | Reuven Koret

Posted on 07/03/2008 4:35:19 PM PDT by SE Mom

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Birth certificates, certificates of birth, certification of birth, etcetera et al ad nauseum ARE NOT FEDERAL DOCUMENTS!!!

We are speaking of state documents, and they change with a frequency defying human imagination.

Just exactly where did you get the idea that any of these forms were FEDERAL?

Answered many times before ~ you really can “just go get” somebody’s BC. What you probably can’t get is a photo-copy of the original hospital record where all the stuff is taken down by a nurse from the parent(s) and/or other family members to file with the local authorities who then put it on file.

I know a fair number of folks born in Japan of American parents, or who had one American parent and another parent with Japanese citizenship, or even German citizenship.

They had no trouble being recognized under the law as American citizens.

There are international treaties that regularize this stuff, as well as status of forces agreements, and US laws governing the situation. Those laws may well vary by the part of the world involved.

Guess what--one of the first attacks was based on the fact that in the altered areas, the hatch lines fail to line up. Someone else has already demonstrated that flaw.

Can you dig up that link please? I remember reading it here about 2 weeks ago, but can't find it now. When I finally bothered to look at the high res KOS image this morning, the hatch lines line up in between the letters and inside holes in the letters. The image was certainly altered in photoshop, but I'm not sure if the lettering was created in PS. It could have been, I don't know enough about PS, but it would have had to be with a feature that allows transparent lettering over existing hatch lines.

And Travis, can YOU produce a US BC? (And I don’t mean some forgery signed by the Secretary of State - just a real, US BC).

But to start with a scanned document with that kind of pattern. Then to blank/replace those text areas with a pefectly matched hatch pattern would be very near impossible.

Could it be done by cutting and pasting hatch patterns from a blank area of the document? I am not a photoshop user, but I tried that in paint and the cut/paste was not terrible, although probably detectable somehow.

Fredso, doesn't matter. Moslem names are coincidentally Arab names. Moslems must give their children Moslem names. Moslem converts must adopt a Moslem name.

That's why all the Moslems have Arab names.

“And did Hussein legally change his name birth name in college from Barry Soetoro to B Hussein Obama? “

-

Cite please?

If Hussein Obama legally changed his name (from) Soetoro, how in the world, could his BC say ... Obama?

When a guy already is named "Hussein" why would it matter if he were also named "Mohammad"? It's not like these names are not both Arabic, or in common Islamic use worldwide?

One of the popular combinations in this neighborhood is "Mohammad Omar", or "Omar Mohammad". Hussein shows up more often as a surname though.

It may have at the time but the law was changed subsequently. All similarly situated persons benefit ~ that’s usually the course of such things in this country.

Yes, but any one of these records would clear up any question of BHO's existence. What was submitted is a matter of record in the Passport Database that was such a controversy recently.

But, is a passport application subject to a freedom of information request?

I lived through the Civil Rights Era. The legal part of it started in 1963, AFTER Obama was born.

In 1961 people were still free to tell the records nurse anything they wished regarding race. Besides, this was Hawaii and the use of "black" would be meaningless.

We didn't standardize around the "black, non-Hispanic white, other, etc." business until the 70s in fact. That's also when the law changed to require someone other than the respondent fill out the "race" part.

You may be correct about being counterproductive. At this point though- there are truly legitimate questions posed as to the authenticity of the bc.

I’ve received quite a bit of heat for posting this thread- and while I’m sympathetic to freepers concerns that we’re a) making fools of ourselves and by association, Free Republic, and b) focusing on the wrong issues, I’m not sure what the correct course might be.

This is a tough story because several things are happening simultaneously. First comes the apparent bc on Kos, followed by its appearance on Obama’s website. Then different factions on both sides begin to examine it for authenticity.

Several respected blogs, including National Review’s Campaign Spot ask questions about the bc. Meanwhile- Obama begins to change course and rhetoric on several KEY liberal issues- infuriating many in his own base. More research into the bc is done, raising more questions. Obama CONTINUES to move center right in his speeches and policies. National Review and the others go silent on the bc issue- while the blogs continue digging. Interwoven are readers on all sides who are just now taking a look at the issue and are unaware of all the work done previously- questions that have been asked and answered numerous times are raised over and over. To say nothing of our individual and collective thoughts of Obama in the first place.

The question becomes- do “we” let it drop? As presented to date, does Obama’s bc on his own website pass muster? Is it surprising given Obama’s recent about face on key issues that other questions about his background are seen as legitimate?

It’s confusing as hell.

A good reason for Obamasama to "change his name" was so he'd become a Harvard legacy. That way he could gain admission to Harvard Law School with a LOWER GPA than otherwise required or expected.

Remember, his babydaddy was a Harvard Law graduate!

Might have even been some scholarship money come along with that status.

I think the American people don’t want to know if Oprah’s Obama actually qualifies to run for president. They are so wrapped up in him that they would allow him to serve even if he flunks the citizenship test. Have you noticed that even MT is swinging toward this socialist with rabid followers?

I don’t see them “certifying” that’s the document, though we all know that’s the STRONG implication. Perhaps an earlier version of the page made the case more forcefully? I don’t recall and didn’t do a save of it.

The candidate can’t check everything on the website personally, but this is such a major issue that it doesn’t speak well to a candidate’s ability to lead if he claims no responsibility for the webpage,

Oh, yeah, I did that BEFORE the law said anything about it. In another license bureau I could have put in “Martian” and they’d have accepted it.

So what do you and your Martian Overlords plan to do with us Earthlings?

Please don't eat us.

Isrealinsider wrote, “Barack Obama has claimed in writing to have a valid printed document: In the first chapter of his book Dreams From My Father, describing his origins, he wrote about finding a local Hawaiian newspaper article about his Kenyan father: “I discovered this article, folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms, when I was in high school.”

If the BC he purports to be the original on his website, can someone tell me why it has the date stamp of June 8, 2007 bleeding through from the reverse? Also, was his birth certificate also “folded away” as was the article he refers to?

Oh stop playing some ridiculous semantic word game. They are claiming the doc as being real, genuine, legitimate, certifying as valid, etc., etc.
