Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Thanks, but does this indicate that we can grab our left ear with our right hand and by pass usual laws? Including elections? Not necessarily suspending those, pehaps but postponing them on a national emergency, martial law basis?
I have been through martial law elsewhere but never thought about it for the USA.
Opinion?

The original question was: AND - will someone please confirm that if we are in a state of war at the time of elections, the elections can be postponed or suspended by Presidential edict?
The question, as asked, stipulated "war". We are not in a state of war. That is indisputable. Congress has declared war on no one.
So: Are you saying that the president can postpone the election in a (your words) "national emergency"? Could you cite something to back that up, please?

He's not trying to prove anything to anyone, he believes it's his RIGHT! All he's trying to do is FOOL US INTO BELIEVING HIM!

mmmmmmmmmmaybe. The authorization of force prior to the latest Iraq war was arguably a declaration of war. The constitution does not specify that any particular turn of phrase is needed to declare a war...
I see that silly comment as a lame excuse for blacking out the certificate number on the forgery. (It's not an important issue, nothing to see here, go away...)
From now on, anything from FukCheck (sic) should be treated with a huge amount of suspicion. It sounds like they take dictation from obama.

That's apt for me right now. I'm expecting to magically produce some software that takes a couple of weeks to do in the next five minutes. And I've been expecting that for a month and a half now. I do a little analysis and then get distracted, or hit the refresh button. I've gotten into the same mindset every once in awhile but it's lasted a half day, at most three. I've never quite been this bad.
I had my latest brush with death near as the fog in my nostrils back early April, and something about that has hit my lazy bone, fer sure. I'm greatly happy to be alive, but I'd like to actually do some real work too. Especially since some good soul is paying me to do it.
