Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

That is the scenario I thought you were referring to. I remember you all discussing that. I can’t contribute much to that one. I was able to find the verbage for the pardon at the time and posted it. Then I just watched the discussion going back and forth. Much of it was a bit over my head because I didn’t have background to understand how it worked.
I think that is the home that Obama got the Rezko mortgage for.
That is a whole other scandal!

That is why I thought it would be odd that his SSS registration, IF he did it, would be in HI and not in Los Angeles.

I’m trying to find what the state number codes are. Is that public information?
Notice how the Supreme Court’s listing of the things coded in the Selective Service Number matches that from the book. My draft card is long gone. Perhaps some good Freepers who have their own cards can shed some light on this. Right now that purported number looks flat out wrong.
Each state has a Selective Service commission or board and are probably listed on state web sites. I have to leave now, wife is having car trouble and here I sit. I had intended to research and probably call the state office today.

People who question whether U.S. Sen. Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen continue to request his birth certificate from the state Department of Health, but they won’t get a definitive answer from Hawai’i health officials.
Hawai’i birth certificates — just as with death, marriage and certain divorce documents — are released only to people with a “tangible interest,” such as the people themselves, their parents, spouses, grandparents or other relatives, Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo said. (Requests for divorce decrees after 2002 go through the state judiciary.)
“Our state law is very firm on information on vital records. ... You cannot receive someone else’s birth certificate — to protect the person’s confidential information,” Okubo said.
It’s the same law that applies to requests from tabloid journalists for celebrity marriage licenses in Hawai’i, Okubo said.
The Obama campaign said it has posted a copy of his birth certificate at www.fightthesm ears.com in response to Internet chatter that the Illinois senator is not a natural-born citizen. But the posting has done little to curb the nearly weekly requests to the Health Department for copies of the original, Okubo said.
Some skeptics point to the lack of an official state seal on the birth certificate posted on the Obama campaign Web site.
But seals often are placed on the back of the birth certificate, Okubo said, “and whether it shows through depends on how much force was put into it.”
Others wonder why a large black rectangle appears next to the words, “CERTIFICATE NO.”
“The thing that’s redacted is just our file number,” she said. “Potentially, if you have that number, you could break into the system.”
Health officials contacted the Obama campaign a few months ago in response to the persistent inquiries “to see if they could try and resolve the issue with the people who were asking questions,” she said.
“They responded and apparently it isn’t good enough that he posted his birth certificate,” Okubo said. “They say they want it because they claim he is not a citizen of the United States. It’s pretty ridiculous.”
