Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

I agree Obama needs to produce clearly legitimate birth certificate. I don't agree he needs to produce witnesses. Outside of my own mother, I could not produce any witnesses to my birth, but I could show my birth certificate.
But the Kenyan birth stuff is created out of whole cloth, from all I have seen. There is nothing at all to back it up, or to even lead one to the conclusion. All I have seen is speculation that it must have happened that way, followed by volumes of theories for how it could have happened.
It is very often repeated that his Kenyan relatives have stated he was born there. Yet nobody making that statement seems to be able to point to any source for it. If it exists, I would really, really like to see that source.
NOT his birth certificate.
He changes his name from Barry to Barack at Occidental College, he stops drinking and smoking and starts fasting every Sunday. He wasn't a Christian during his college years. Not that it matters what spiritual journey he was/is on, but he might want to be upfront about his background.
The words "San Francisco" are not on the wall but on a sign hanging from the metal pole in the foreground.
This photo is of the old John Rodgers terminal in Honolulu c. 1960s. The small banner above the check baggage counter doesn't read San Francisco, it reads Los Angeles.
Clearly there are other metal poles in the picture above other check-in spots further down the counter, although they are too far away for the signs to be visible. It is also possible that there are other check-in spots out of the frame to the right.
That’s what makes the Democratic Convention so fascinating: there will be large bounty $ between here and late August for data.
Yep, that sounds like a Muslim to me.
Daniel Pipes has been all over this issue. He said that at one point, Obama admitted that he had never been a *practicing* Muslim; thus conceding that he was raised a Muslim.
I wasn't aware of trips to Pakistan.
Fascinating...
Your statement near the top (he’s eligible and is pleased we’re spending so much time on the topic) may be true- yet it strikes many of us as odd that he’s let this controversy go on without simply producing the paper copy to the press. At the very least- he deliberately lets that bizarre and questionable document stay on his website.
The Pakistan trips are interesting- I don’t recall if he mentioned these trips in either of his books. That’s something I’m looking into this week, unless someone here has hard copies and can find references to them.
He’s the least transparent candidate I can remember- his paper trail is exceedingly short - attempts to pin down schedules and correspondence while he was a practicing attorney and state senator haven’t proved fruitful, despite repeated requests from the press.
Thanks for your insightful posts :)
That date is not given at all in the four page article. No marriage date is given in it.
The newspapers almost always find one of the two events, the marriage license or the marriage certificate, and report it in their Vital Statistics--you find it there?
You don't find anything that supports the fairy tale they got married on Maui, you start thinking about what it is they don't want to tell you.
Since you haven't seen any evidence to support the Maui wedding, you assume it never happened. But you also don't have any evidence that a wedding took place in Kenya, yet you assume that is what happened. Which one is actually the fairytale?
That “search for his legacy”, because of his father’s religion and his mother’s becoming more and more a distanced expatriate, that search among the very groups and places where we are most hated goes also to WHY George Washington, the Father of THIS country, asked for the “natural born” clause. To avoid exactly THAT kind of wandering heritage search and rooting to antagonistic countries by a person born to either parent being a non-citizen, and as inferred from the Blackstone: even when one parent was a citizen but has taken flight away from this country because of disloyalty.
wideminded is right about the blue signs on poles, and the rest of the terminal being out of frame. BIGLOOK, why did you identify the terminal as “the old John Rodgers terminal c. 1960s”, where you there?
Can’t some Freeper in HI simply go to the microfiche and settle this for us? I would do it myself if I were there.
Does this help?
The Hawaii State Government details the history of John Rodgers Airport up through 1947. If you scroll down almost to the bottom of the page, it says this:
Every available foot of frontage for fixed base operators at John Rodgers Airport was optioned by mid-1946. Space in the overseas terminal was at a premium. Requests for space from prospective trans-Pacific operators included the following:See also: 1940's
- Australian National Airways
- China National Aviation Corp.
- Far East Air Transport
- KNILM (Dutch Airlines)
- Matson Navigation Co.
- Pacific Overseas Airlines
- Pan American Airways
- Philippine Airlines
- Samoan Area Airways
- Transocean Airlines
- United Air Lines
In 1947, all commercial overseas flights between the West Coast of the U.S., Australia, the Philippines, and East Asia were operating from the Overseas Terminal on the south side of the airport. All interisland operators were based on the north side of the airport.
That maybe he was one of the “bad guys”?!!
Boy would George Soros and his running dog lackeys be upset to find that out.
Think we'll see John Huang?

You would think, huh? Somebody ping the Hawaii Freepers list. Wait...is there a Hawaii Freepers list?
My own postings on HNL, based on quick scans of web-posted histories have become a hindrance for confusions due to my inexperience with the airport and being too quick to digest the info, so I'll pedal my tricycle to a stop here.
Hoorah for the very careful like yourself and a bunch of other Freepers on thread!
