PETERSBURG, United States (AFP) - Dinosaurs frolic with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and an animatronic Noah directs work on his Ark in a multimillion dollar creationism museum set to open next week in Kentucky.
Designed by the creator of the King Kong and Jaws exhibits at the Universal Studios theme park, the stunning 60,000 square foot (5,400 square-metre) facility is built for a specific purpose: refuting evolution and expanding the flock of believers in a literal interpretation of the Bible.
"You'll get people into a place like this that you can't get into a church with a stick of dynamite," said founder Ken Ham from his office overlooking the museum's manicured grounds.
Polls consistently show that nearly half of Americans believe God created humans in their present form less than 10,000 years ago. Only about 13 percent believe God played no part in the origin of human life.
Ham does not blame evolution per se for society's ills. He believes that sin has been around since Adam and Eve took their fateful bite of apple about 5,700 years before Charles Darwin published "On the Origin of Species."
But he says the theory of evolution has been used to undermine the validity of the literal truth of the Bible, heralding a dangerous age of moral relativism which can be blamed for everything from racism to the Holocaust.
Located just outside of Cincinnati near the intersection of the states of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, nearly two thirds of the population of the United States lives within a 650-mile (1,050-kilometer) drive of the Creation Museum.
It is expected to draw at least 250,000 people a year when it opens on May 28.

"Either way, I tend to think that its pretty wimpy to decide you wont read anything anyone wrote simply because you disagreed with another article they wrote." I suspect the reason for dismissing his previous work was a lot more than just a disagreement. I'm thinking that Woody spent a lot of his time quote mining, misrepresenting evidence and misunderstanding a whole lot and that may have some bearing in the decision to not read the rest of his work.
With the vast amount of literature out there to read some selection has to be done. What better way than by basing that selection on previous work?
I certainly will never read another thing from Deepak Chopra based on other material of his I have read which was nothing but a pile of mind numbing wooness.
Am I wrong in this decision?
Oh, yes, before I forget. Here is a critique of Woody's work from an authority in the field. You do like authorities do you not?

“YEC John Woodmorappe (a pseudonym) is infamous for scouring hundreds of scientific references to find quotations that he believes dispute the accuracy of radiometric dating. However, when his quotations and references are viewed in context, they usually fail to support his claims and often refute them.”
JW is not the only YEC’r guilty of this.

Why doesn’t the bible mention the glaciations? Were these the work of God or the Devil?

Expain how a fish does not rot when it by your belief takes thousands or millions of years to deposit the material over it.

I am not a catholic,
My Bible the King James version which is the word of God Jesus, says for me to find out, discover, validate what is said for myself.
My pastor teaches this.
Your education was that of questions with a predetermined answer, which if you question it you will fail. I am talking about evolution and the parts of science created for the propagation of it.
Not your idea of those who do not except evolution therefore they do not except science.

A seed is not disorder.
You are totally confused.
A seed is a program of an organism to be grown, after and as it is growing the disorder process starts, brown leaves, beetle damage, lighting strikes, rot, floods.
The offspring of the tree getting weaker as mutations ever build.
That is not an example of order from disorder.
There is so much complex order within the seed that they still do not understand, DNA RNA.

I don't how your link supports your position. Can you explain?
Expain how a fish does not rot when it by your belief takes thousands or millions of years to deposit the material over it.
I don't understand your statement.
To: Creationist
The tree draws up disordered nutrients to form orderly branches and leaves. This is order from disorder.
To: Creationist
The offspring of the tree getting weaker as mutations ever build. You don't find it odd that this never happens to bacteria?

Coyoteman (Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.)
One sided governmental education does not constitute truthful scientific knowledge.
Belief in God does not make one ignorant in scientific knowledge, or understanding of the evolutionary lies.

You are misinformed then.
If anything mutates and lives it is weaker and with less information.

I’m curious about something. Do creationists believe in the speed of light? In other words, do they accept that light travels at approximately 186,000 miles per second? If so, then do they say that there is nothing more than 6,000 light years away from earth? Do they reject the science which proves that there are objects further away from earth than that? Just wondering how they can explain away the speed of light.
To: Creationist
Bacteria mutate quite often without becoming weaker.

That is feeding as you do. That is not an example of order from disorder.
Everything works towards equilibrium. Even life, which starts small grows larger then decays. Those nutrients were most likely a tree, bush, grass, dead bird, rocks being washed smaller and smaller.
A seed converts the available energy into growing, but some day all the energy will be spent.

Does a new car have an appearance of age. Is it fully assembled and ready for you to drive. Seats soft, tires have air, engine starts.
Those who can not except God and the Genesis account can not grasp the concept that God who is all powerful could create a total working system with the lights from the stars already visible here on earth.

Bacteria mutate frequently without becomming weaker. I doubt if you can find anyone on this forum ignorant enough to agree with you on this one.
