I usually go to the Delta airlines terminal at Logan airport for my supply, but living in MESSachusetts these days has exhausted my supply quicker than usual.
On the plus side, UI now have abs of steel.

Well, when they say Cheney got five deferments, according to the Washington Post, that's what he got: four 2-Ss and then the deferment for the child.
So Kerry got the same damn thing!

While we're waiting....I ordered POISON: The Unauthorized Biography of Kitty Kelley from Amazon ($2.95 + $3.49 s&h) today. The reviews said the author had difficulty tracking down her sordid past, but the dirt included such sleazy stuff as thefts and questionable reasons for leaving multiple colleges.

Re: "Hmmm...the segment on Robert Duval looks interesting..."
One of the great actors of our times... Not sure of his politics, but he was wonderful as Robert E. Lee in Gods and Generals and has been outstanding in each and every role sine his early days on "The Outer Limits" and "The Twlight Zone."
Well, Dan Blather has started the smear...

Off topic but can I ask here...this Larry Korb on O'Reilly right now claims Dan Barlett stated Bush agreed to attend Guard calls in Boston and "now changes his story".
As one who has closely followed this story, I have NEVER heard that before.
Korb claims (GET THIS) that Bush "brought this up" on the Today Show recently by saying he was proud of his service and would have gone to Vietnam if he had been called.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bush didn't bring it up, the person asking the question brought it up.
GOD GIVE ME THE STRENGTH.
Of course O'Reilly is more or less clueless and sick of the whole thing. (Pesky facts are too much to keep track of so hope both Kerry and Bush service records should just be left alone).
Sorry for the off-topic.

He says that he recommnended a lot of people during that time.
There were 100's of names of people wanting to get into the ANG or the NG, he says. (Lie)

It took me a minute. That's funny!

Lloyd Bentsen III, a Texas venture capitalist who joined the Guard at the same time as Bush, said allegations of nepotism are ridiculous, at least in his case. He said he applied for the post of accounting and finance officer in the unit and was accepted on the basis of a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University. "The short version of the story is that I heard there was an opening in the Guard, and I went and applied," he said. "I was obviously qualified. There were openings for officers, but there weren't openings for enlisted personnel."
To: Howlin
Barnes equates going into the National Guard with running away to Canada to escape the draft. I'm done!
To: Howlin
Barnes says that Ashe (?), friend of the family, came to see him and asked him to get 43 into the NG.

Hard to keep up with the rats who are coming out in full force with this lame OLD issue. First we had Matthews discuss this crap and now Larry Korb is on with O'Reilly saying GWB made Vietnam an issue when he told Matt Lauer he served admirably. What the hell is he talking about? You simply cannot win with these sickening people who throw all rationale out the window. Will we survive 55 more days of their gutter tactics? Don't know if I can stand to watch more on CBS so I'll just read the thread.

You are so right.
President Bush cares about people other than himself.
John 'effin Kerry cares about himself, period.

Bush trained in Georgia!
1970, Bush was a celebrity; press release issued in Texas said he was the son of 41.
