Was Rassmann even on Kerry's Boat?
FOX News | 8/13/04 | Fox News

Posted on 08/13/2004 3:36:49 PM PDT by Jewels1091

Fox news just reported there are questions now about where Rassmann actually was. He said he was on Kerry's boat when it got ambushed, but Kerry's web site says Rassmann was on the boat behind his. Just more questions about kerry's seemingly faulty memory.

From what little I have read, mostly stuff here, I think a case could be made that after f'ing got his third purple heart he was basically kicked out of Nam by his superiors. They knew what he was up to. If that could be documented, it could pour a little more gas onto the flame. Maybe light a fire under his rice-laden butt.

"That's because Bill O'Reilly is a shameless, self-promoting whore"

I can't believe I agree with you but I do. I was a fan of Oreilly's for a long time, but lately he has been a shameless self promoting whore. Maybe he has always been that way I just didn't notice because he was sticking it to the libs I disliked. His smearing of the swift vets was the last straw. These are men of courage, honor, and integrity trying to set the record straight.

Kiss my ass BO, I will never defend you again.

Just more questions about kerry's seemingly faulty memory.

I believe his faulty memory is now a proven fact.

Ping to #22.

Lots of inconsistencies here.

Jim Angle on FOX News tonight reported this.

Drip drip drip...

Can someone tell me if Kerry ever received a wound that broke the skin surface on this outing? I have heard that all he had was a good sized bruise/ or contusion on his forearm.

I understand that sKerry suffered a self inflicted wound to his buttocks earlier that day. He tossed a concussion grenade into a rice pile but didn't move far enough away. Rice was blown into his flesh. The mine explosion bruised his arm. From what I understand, neither wound qualifies for a Purple Heart. However, apparently the bruise was caused by an enemy combat action.

Thurlow and the Swifites really need to hammer home that Kerry refused to fund the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. That ties the Vietnam Kerry to the Iraq Kerry very nicely.

I don't think so. Their entire message revolves around kerry's Vietnam service. Going beyond that does them no good whatsoever.

Notice that they've never said he's unfit to be President, but rather unfit to be Commander in Chief. They're deliberately restricting their criticism of him to their area of expertise and it serves them well.

I think the big O has definitely changed, I think it's a radio thing. Hannity has 465 affiliates, and big heavy hitters like WABC, Rush has over 600 also big hitters. O has far less and many light bulbs in small cities where there is no hope for huge numbers. He's got to be jealous as hell and desperate to shout out to anyone who will listen how wonderful he is.

I wonder whether Rassmann has been promised some position in a Kerry Administration as the reason for his continuing defense of Kerry.

Maybe he's going to have the orchid named the National Flower of America. Heard Jimbo has a "thing" for them.

There has been constant commenting on whether Rassmann was on Kerry's boat or another boat.

I have heard both stories......

Rassman himself has told both versions of it. I have to wonder which one is true.

I think the bottom line is almost anyone who saw combat got "wounds" like this. How many had the moxie to apply for purple heart status for this kind of stuff.

His superiors are on the record, saying just that. That THEY gamed the system to get Kerry out.

Kerry's web site says Rassmann was on the boat behind his...I thought originally Rassmann was supposed to be on Kerrys' boat eating a cookie and was thrown off when Kerry speeded up to leave the scene - maybe they have to put him somewhere else now because they're trying to say Kerry was the one who stayed on the scene and therefore he couldn't have speeded up - on the other hand, he's supposed to have hurt his arm when his boat hit a mine and was blown up - on the other hand, how could he have come around to pick up Rassmann if his boat was damaged, on the other hand......

I've met so many people who have claimed to be former VN Vets; all have stories about "the Nam". It only takes a minute (literally 1 minute) to out them. Kerry was in VN, but the crowd he hung with in VVAW were a mix. Their war stories fit their agenda. Real vets chat together about guys they knew and their peccadilloes; who owed them $ from lost card games and where those guys are now (Hey, there's interest accumulating!) and the girls they knew. Hmmm, Scratch the last one.

I'll see if I can find a link but as I recall part of the description was "forearm, contusion (minor)".

Some very heroic feats were performed that day. Unfortunately only one of them was deemed worthy of a medal.

You imply that sKerry's actions that day were heroic. What is heroic about temporarily abandoning your team mates and pulling someone out of the water? Fabricating a story to sound heroic in order to receive a Bronze Star and Purple Heart is definitely non-heroic.

Sarcasm.

That's the scary part of how the rats play the game. There is no truth, only expedience, and what do they need today to recapture the numbers lost yesterday? They will do anything for a win and they don't much care who they trample on in the process. We painstakingly research the truth here but if a situation doesn't suit their needs they just reinvent a new scenario, it's up to us to constantly call them on it.

If I'm not mistaken, that very fact has been attested to in a sworn affidavit. I haven't gotten my copy of Unfit yet so I don't have a specific cite for it.
