The following statement from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth concerns an article appearing in morning edition of the Boston Globe:
"Viet Vet Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in todays edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that he ad be played.
Additional documentation will follow.
The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranishs own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 supporters who are revealing first hand, eyewitness accounts of numerous incidents concerning John Kerrys military service record. The organization will continue to discuss much of what John Kerry has reported as fact concerning his four-month tour of duty in Vietnam.
END
Yep .. I'm thinking the Kerry Camp is going into bigtime CYA mode right about now
Granted, but when the candidate as odious as Kerry (who came home & knifed his uniformed comrades in the back) asks us to elect him president based almost soley on his service record, shouldn't it be checked out?
Fabricate them or play them, you bet. That is what they do. As long as it gets paid advertising, and stays short of libel, they'll print falsehoods and misleading innuendo all day long. This is old as the hills.
A person that wants to "know the truth" has to look around, and has to certainly mistrust the innuendo, if not the words, of the media. The media's job is emphatically NOT to represent the truth. Never has been. They say that about themselves to draw in suckers and marks.
Must be that same bullet we saw in Dallas.....
HOW THE AD IS PLAYING IN OKLAHOMA [08/06 02:33 PM]
Out in the heartland, Oklahoma City radio show host Mike McCarville says callers in to his show believed the Swift Boat Vets ad came from the Bush-Cheney campaign.
Im not sure this commercial is going to change any minds, McCarville said.

Or maybe the guy turned around real fast right after Kerry pulled the trigger.
BTTT!!!!!!
They certainly are. Look at how they treated Joe Wilson and Richard Clarke as just two recent examples. Both of their stories had many holes that were easily exposed by the factual state of the record, yet the media pushed the demonstrably false lines as long and as far as they could. As soon as the evidence became overwhelming that the men were discredited, they simply drop the topic and "move on", knowing that some damage has been done.
They have truly embraced the Big Lie lately. There is no doubt about it.
And one more thing, journalists of good will who are not propagandists better get a clue and quick. They should quit going along to get along and act like discussing an obviously false story just because the mainstreams have outlined the major talking points a certain way, is acceptable. They better start calling a spade a spade and a lie a lie.
And the creep wrote the latest Kerry-Edwards book to boot. What a maggot.
Who is the publisher, I wonder. Curious as to why it will not be published. Ethical publisher or cancelllation from the Kerry Camp? Boston Globe pretending to "do the right thing?"
Unbelievable. These media jackals are beyond corrupt.
Vanity Fair pulled this same stunt with Paul Wolfowitz last year. He wanted to file a libel suit, but the Washington Post IMMEDIATELY wrote a pice using the forms of the word "interpret" to describe the Vanity Fair author's slander (I forget the author's name) In the end, the mag was in the clear.
In the buttocks?
JUST KIDDING -- we now know Kerry shot the 'wounded teen' in the back.

Anti-Kerry Vietnam Veterans Hold Strong
The following statement from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth is in response to an article appearing in the morning edition of the Boston Globe (Veteran Retracts Criticism of Kerry) which implies that one Vietnam Veteran wishes to retract an affidavit he signed regarding John Kerrys actions during and after Kerrys time in Vietnam. The signed affidavit can be seen below.
"Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in todays edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit [see below] in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that the ad be played.
Additional documentation will follow. The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranishs own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.

They better cover their butts, cuz it looks like a whole heapin' bowl of rice is heading their way...
Good post
That's my recollection too. Not an M60.
"Honest reporting" has is totally gone out the window. When you look around, the Kranishes (Kerry supporter), the Campbell Browns (White House "correspondent" - unashamedly biased from Democrat political family), the Rathers, Jennings, Brokaws, UPI, Reuters, etc....
In a communist country, these "usefull idiots" would be the first to "go"!
