President Bush and First Lady Laura offered their New Year's wishes to everyone today while visiting a local Crawford coffee shop. The President answered a few questions from the media, including questions regarding North Korea and Iraq. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

rintense, and all the Bush Babes: Happy New Year to all! Mr. Inspectorette and I asked a blessing this morning that 2003 will be an uneventful year. We've had enough excitement in 2001 and 2002 (daughter and family living in D.C., we were nervous wrecks after September 11, and in October of '02 with the sniper attacks.)

Rintense, Thank you so much for the work you do on this thread! I don't get to it every day, but when I do, I'm always glad I made it. I love Dub and Laura, and I love these threads.

Happy New Year to all!

You parents whose children have become young adults will understand.

I understand completely, Gretchen. Sir SuziQ was so depressed when we dropped our #2 son off at college. He just felt like he hadn't spent enough time with them; they were in school, then doing homework, and there were friends, activities, etc. It is one of the reasons we decided to homeschool the younger two. He gets to spend time with them during the day because he can work from home sometimes, and they are here for him to talk to and spend time with. He loves it, and so do they. We're able to know them better because we're spending more time with them, and they are FUN kids! Our older two are as well, though we don't see them as often anymore. It is always great having them home for the holidays.

I'm sure it is hard for Dubya, but they would have been gone from home even if he had never become President. His greatest burden, I'm sure, is thinking about their safety. They are such prime targets for someone who would want to harm Dubya, but can't get to him. I'll ramp up my prayers for all of them!

Poison ivy or more likely poison oak, contacted while clearing brush, is my guess.

My guess, Granny, is that "THOSE" LEGS are from a picture of a younger Dubya. I believe his legs are heavier now. Whatever, GREAT LEGS!

And I have noticed that with every passing day, Laura gets even MORE attractive. It is so nice to have a President and First Lady who are so honest and real. You can see it in their faces!

Where is everybody? Already celebrating? It's only 4:00 p.m. out here. What's everybody doing tonight?

We're just having my hubby's twin brother and his wife over for drinks and munchies. We've rented a movie, hope we can all stay awake.

Spoke to my 9 and 10 1/2 year old grandsons on the East Coast this morning, and they're planning to stay up until midnight. I told them that Grandma is planning to stay up until midnight too (their time!). They just groaned, "Oh Grandma!"

I saw another clip from this on Fox, and the President's neck looks just fine, too.

There's no redness on it, whatsoever. Just a weird shadow, IMO

He had a funny line shown at the end of Special Report about being able to eat a cheeseburger because he had been so good about keeping his New Years' resolution from last year. What a funny man he is!

And he looked like he was being particularly affectionate with Laura! :o)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALL!!! What a year it has been!!

Lots of victories for our stealth President, eh, Miss Marple?

Hope everyone has a safe and blessed New Years. Stay safe and wise if you are out tonight. Thanks for all the great pics this past year. What would we have done without them? I know this was a habit for me everynight and appreciate all you do, and appreciate all who took over those times rintense was not able.

May we all enjoy a blessed and prosperous 2003 and may we our continue our prayers for our Country and President. THANKS TO ALL

I am so happy and feel so blessed we have George and Laura Bush as our President and First Lady. They are real. They represent ME. They represent a lot of our friends and our families. They are the REAL DEAL and we thank God for them and we wish them and their families all of everything that is good in the coming New Year.

Very well said cub - VERY well said!

Exactly right, oWf. There is nothing
wrong with his neck, on video. Even
a few of rin's pics DON'T SHOW RED.
It is a photographic fluke of color,
light and shadow.

Happy New Year, oWf, Mo1, ALL...

Thank you! I guess it's easy to say something so well when your subjects are people as good as George and Laura Bush. :) Happy New Year!
