In the face of violent protests throughout the nation, the rallying cry by many perpetrating the mayhem is for police to be defunded or disbanded.
The people of Portland, Oregon, had a brief glimpse of that reality, as police were forced to ignore all but emergency calls after law enforcement was tied up responding to violent rioting over the Independence Day holiday weekend.
Public Information Officer Lt. Tina Jones provided hourly video updates on the situation on the Portland Police Bureau Twitter feed overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning, including announcing that the city would not be able to respond to certain calls for help.

“You’ve reached the automated Help desk of the Portland Police Department, please listen to the menu options carefully, as they may have changed. Press 1 for suspected murder, press 2 for rape, press 3 for angry mob violence...”
That’s bad. Backing off will just make the rats bolder, but everyone knows they’re in charge anyway.

I have a close friend in Portland.
They had a neighborhood break in of their community mailbox.
The Police told her to file a report on-line.
Let me guess. Number 1 on the list of priority crimes will be “Hate Crimes.”
I guess someone complaining about their order at McDonalds won’t be considered an “emergency” any more.
I have no sympathy for them. They voted for the idiots and now they can live with it.

few redeeming qualities...known for its peculiar settings for unique eating and drinking places...that is all...
remember when a restaurant wanted a nice clean looking fresh looking modern facility ...nowadays, the grungier looking place the better I guess...

hard working people in Portland vote Democrat and then complain about the lack of police. It is time for them to get off the Democrat plantation and understand the Democrats radical, socialist play book
I just heard a Trump commercial on radio that was very similar to this.
They should hand out flyers with the addresses and phone numbers to their daddy, the Mayor and City Council
