On the 43rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, many GOP presidential contenders were not silent. While Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton continue to defend the horrors of abortion, Republicans Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum, Carly Fiorina, and Ben Carson took to social media. Recognizing the tragedy of over 58 million lives lost, these candidates explained why they stand for life.
Donald Trump, however, has been silent on abortion, the March for Life, and Roe v. Wade all day. He is the only GOP front runner to avoid making a statement. Issues concerning Trumpâs pro-abortion past continue to rise â including his statement that his sister would be âone of the bestâ justices for the U.S. Supreme Court, despite her ruling in favor of partial-birth abortion as a circuit judge.
Trumpâs lack of a statement on the anniversary of Roe further illustrate the muddle he is in with pro-lifers and conservatives. His statements are viewed by some as very concerning, including his recent observation that â[W]e have to look at the positives, also, for Planned Parenthood.â

You listen and read very selectively!!
Trump’s editorial on the Life issue has already been brought to your attention. No need to repeat here.
The quote about killing someone was Trump telling his audience, paraphrasing: “they say my supporters would stay with me even if i killed someone ....” Did you not read the “they say” part? Nah, that would disrupt the narrative you wish to achieve.
Not sure who “Live Action News” is shilling for, but every comment that mentions Trump’s Pro Life Op Ed disappears.
It’s been going on for over five hours.
Liars’ Action Newz
Much longer than a few months, but yes. However, if he has sincerely changed his views....more power to him. Reagan was a Democrat and a union leader....he did just fine changing his views.
For the one-issue voters, while our economy and borders are collapsing, resulting in many other kinds of avoidable deaths, violent crimes and rapes.
There is no perfection in this realm, and a prepared statement while running won’t make all the difference. The battle is the Great Commission, not all the mess people make who are not born again.
Is it really O.K. to execute a child for the crime of its father/mother???
left out the /s
in the first sentence, he says except for incest or rape.
but he’s going to get the nod so I will pray for him to change his opinion on that and i will vote for him.
On the most important issues facing the country, concerning our government’s failure to provide equal protection for innocent human life in the womb, and their failure to protect the indispensable institution of marriage and the natural family, and their failure to rein in an out-of-control judiciary, Donald J. Trump and Ted Cruz are exactly the same. Their policies absolutely guarantee an unacceptable status quo.
Obviously thrown together hastily by Trump after he started to be criticized around the web for not making a peep about the 43rd anniversary of Roe. Unfortunately, he does nothing but demonstrate that he knows little or nothing about what is actually at stake with the question of abortion. He makes exceptions right out of the gate, which clearly shows that he knows nothing of God-given, unalienable, EQUAL rights. He thinks the founders gave us our rights via the Constitution, which is specious nonsense. He thinks states should be making life and death decisions about abortion, when in fact God Himself decided this from the beginning, and therefore states have no more legitimate authority to authorize the killing of babies than the Supreme Court does. The typical obvious fundamental errors of a candidate who decided he had to pretend to be pro-life in order to have any chance as a Republican candidate for president.
I believe you’re a good person, but I’ve read you posts here and there, and you do lack common sense. Sorry.
“Even if Trump were pro-choice, heâd still have my vote. ..”
Many voted for Romney, also a pro-”choice” flipper, and some voted for him in the primaries because they though he could win.
REMEMBER how that turned out.
He has acknowledged he is pro-life and commented on this I think his twitter account.
Since when now do we have this deal?
imo, Mr. Trump insults his supporters - he is ADMITTING they are blind to his many faults.
Just win baby.
My wife is moderately political, but her jaw dropped when she heard Trump's "joke."
"That's never funny; I don't care if it's a joke."
Is it OK to ignore the plain meaning of his statement?
“or, the issue is not relevant in the current election”
Don’t ever underestimate the number of pro-lifers in our country.
Do you have an excerpt and link for that?
I try to be fair, but could not find ANYTHING.
Did he say anything on Twitter on Jan. 22?
‘”My wife is moderately political, but her jaw dropped when she heard Trump’s “joke.”
“That’s never funny; I don’t care if it’s a joke.”’
Your wife nailed it, and Trump was very arrogant, and is actually TELLING his supporters that they are blind to his faults.
I’ll admit my own faults, and admit I made a mistake. I said “killed,” but Trump said “shoot,” which is also very bad.
