Former New York Gov. George Pataki has launched a broadside against Donald Trump over his controversial remarks on Mexican immigrants, sending an open letter this week to every other Republican presidential candidate urging them to "denounce his comments today."
The letter has, in turn, triggered a bitter Twitter feud between the two 2016 candidates, as Trump also spars with everyone from NBC to Macy's to the New York City government.
After Pataki tweeted a link to the letter (in which he cc'd Trump), Trump thundered back on Twitter:

My fondest hope is that one of the 14 (or so) dwarfs tells it like it is, from the heart because they're expressing core beliefs. Cruz I suspect has the most potential for that. Trump can maybe stimulate that and turn this campaign season into something worthwhile.
I was one of the original supporters of Cruz, donating when he wanted to jump-start the campaign. I was disappointed, maybe a little outraged that he wants even more H1B Visas. I thought he got badly played on the trade manipulations, and didn't like being talked down to by his FR supporters during that whole thing. But Cruz is bright, he's principled, and seems willing to learn.
But do I fear Trump? Not at all. Look at history. Most people who made a difference and turned things around are imperfect. But they believed in their cause and their mission.

That was then this is now. Trump is talking about now. He couldn’t get elected dog catcher now. Pataki is wasting somebody else’s money try to run for President. He has zero following. He will not establish a following.
Pataki is hoping that if he gets into a fight with Trump somebody will notice him.

Pataki, Perry, Bush, Christie...all a bunch of pandering fools. They listen to way too many inside the beltway consultants who wouldn’t understand the real America if it bit them.
Go Away RINO’s!

1. Trump was addressing Pataki today
2. Trump was addressing Pataki from twenty years ago.
Any guesses which of these would be the more accurate description of what Trump was doing when he said that?

I think the guy is just trying to get attention. He has no chance and is just wasting money. I wonder who is dumb enough to bankroll him?

Why does Trump look childish?I guess we have different ideas of what it means to be adult. Seems to me he could have swatted Pataki away in a more clever and dignified manner but Trump is incapable.

Pataki is wrong. All this civility to illegal immigrants is misplaced. Either the illegal immigrants go or America goes. The two cannot coexist.

Governor George Patti-cake is SO out of his league trying to take out Trump.
He really has to be out of his mind to even think he could take the Donald on in a battle of words.
My question: who on earth would vote for a New Yawk primary candidate so dumb he has to go into a dressing room to change his mind !

...”Why do you say Trump would be a lousy President? If he wins, he won’t owe anyone in the establishment any favors. And sensible members of the DC crowd will fear crossing him.
Besides that, he would be able to put together a real excellent cabinet and other appointees. And in negotiations, he wouldn’t be playing tic-tac-toe while Putin plays Chess!”...
He understands other cultures because he does business with them and he understands corrupt politicians because he has interacted with them all of his adult life. And, I believe, without a doubt, that he loves this country and is concerned for it’s survival.

I love the fact that he tells them to “Go F*** Yourselves”.
They’re not used to hearing that from the GOP... theyre used to Republicans rolling over and peeing on their bellies at the mere mention of “racist”.... or whatever word du jour they’re in terror of at the moment.
It is refreshing.
