New York City reviewing business relationships with Trump

By MATTHEW CHAYES AND EMILY NGO

Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday that his administration is reviewing the city's business relationships with billionaire developer Donald Trump, who is under sustained fire for his presidential campaign speech suggesting criminals were rife among Mexicans who enter the country.

"We are reviewing Trump contracts with the city. Donald Trump's remarks were disgusting and offensive, and this hateful language has no place in our city," de Blasio, who is vacationing in New Mexico, said in a statement.

"Our Mexican brothers and sisters make up an essential part of this city's vibrant and diverse community, and we will continue to celebrate and support New Yorkers of every background," the statement said. Karen Hinton, a spokeswoman for the mayor, said she could not provide details of the review.

Now Warren Wilhelm is on the attack. I guess he's given up his hobby of getting cops killed and is moving on to destroying jobs.

Wilhelm better watch his trap or Trump may emulate Rush and move to Florida

Lots less millions in taxes to redistribute among Wilhem’s Mexican brothers and sisters

Kooky de Blasio has already ticked off Hillary, Cuomo, and both levels of the Democratic Party.

And now he’s attacking Trump?

Is he deliberately trying to make enemies??

Wonder how NYC would fare without the tax income. A serious consideration I’m sure.

If they concentrate on Trump, they don't have to admit how Hillary is lost in a lambriyth of her own making.

If the Donald can “keep it civil”, he’s got a good chance. His mouth is the only thing that could knock him out of contention. A great administrator is what this country desperately needs.

And a fighter - that's also what Trump does well. And a good negotiator. He's looking better all the time to me. And someone who's not PC, shoots straight.

If anyone wants to know what is happening to conservatives and “conservative sympathizers” in the US today need only read the history of the relationship between Germany and the Jews in the early 1030’s.

This sort of thing is in the spirit of the “early days”.

The establishment is piling on Trump not so much for what he said but because most people are reacting positively to what he said. The elitists want to nip that in the bud.

“Our Mexican brothers and sisters make up an essential part of this city’s vibrant and diverse community...”

Uh, if they immigrated her legally, then they are AMERICANS. If they are Mexicans then they can go screw off if their feelings were hurt.

Trump’s lawyers are rubbing their hands with glee if NYC tries to screw with contracts they’ve signed with him.

He can use the payout to fund his run.

I’m sure that Trump and his business interests have a positive economic impact on New York City. For them to reevaluate and revoke contracts and such, to make a political statement, will undoubtedly cost the city money.

Reminds me a bit of how Los Angeles voted to boycott Arizona when Arizona passed their law on illegal aliens. Then it was discovered that Los Angeles gets 25% of their electricity from Arizona. So the boycott was rescinded. The liberals on the L.A. City Council didn’t want to risk sitting with no AC during a hot summer, just to make their political statement.
