Money trumps everything. The Miss USA Pageant obviously is a money earner. Had it earned enough, it would have remained on NBC, but it's money NBC seems willing to forego to spite Trump and his politics. Additionally, Trump will invariably get hurt financially by this move with almost certainly less ratings for the telecast.

So its OK to deny service for political reasons, but not for religious ones?

Something tells me that 52 scantily clad young beauties will not be a tough sell.

Maybe FOX will step in. Or TLC? They have experience with pagents; "Toddlers and Tiaras", "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo", etc.
To: lbryce
Trump will probably sue NBC for breach of contract and will likely be well compensated.
Its the contestants who will lose.

Maybe he should cobble together a bunch of stations across the country and have a “Trump Network”

I never realized that the television networks that broadcast the Miss America Pageant were doing it for charitable reasons.
