Ancient Humans Had Sex With A Mystery Species

A new, improved sequencing of ancient human relative genomes reveals that Homo sapiens didn't only have sex with Neanderthals and a little-understood line of humans called Denisovans. A fourth, mystery lineage of humans was in the mix, too.
As reported by the news arm of the journal Nature, new genetic evidence suggests that several hominids — human relatives closer than humans' current living cousin, the chimpanzee — interbred more than 30,000 years ago. This group of kissing cousins included an unknown human ancestor not yet revealed by the ancient DNA record.
"It's implied it could be something like Homo erectus or similar," said Carles Lalueza-Fox, a paleogenomics researcher at Pompeu Fabra University in Spain, who was not involved in the research, but who was present at a talk on the findings given by lead author David Reich of Harvard Medical School at a meeting on ancient DNA sponsored by the Royal Society in London on Nov. 18. Ancient human lineages
Neanderthals are an extinct group of humans who lived between about 30,000 and 130,000 years ago. Despite their reputation as bone-headed dummies, Neanderthals were likely as advanced as modern humans in areas such as tool-making, though they were probably less socially adept.
Denisovans are a far more mysterious group. These early humans lived in Siberia and probably split off from the branch of the human family tree that would eventually give rise to Neanderthals about 300,000 years ago. Little is known about how Denisovans lived and what they looked like.

I think Wesley was wrong as he had not had any access to the science that we have now. Genesis 6 is actually very self explanatory and self conclusive but to accept such conclusions can be shattering. The notion that the natural/ supernatural walls can be breached to our hurt can make one shun the subject behind layers of denial. Demons can certainly possess men and or seduce them into believing false doctrines. As the story of Job suggests, Satan and demons can cause physical effects and even death when allowed by God. Genetics may very well be Satan’s ultimate game to create the perfect EVIL man and to thwart the plan of God...Yet God is a God of Salvation, no matter how genetically imperfect the human, if Christ be in him or her, then he is a NEW CREATURE (”and old things are passed away and all things become new”)
Even some evolutionists are starting to conclude that there may have been genetic tinkering at some points in the evolutionary timeline. The sciences are starting to align with much of early Genesis...though many are kicking and screaming about it. Satan is running out of places he can hide...intellectually and spiritually speaking. His time is short and God will reveal all!
No one would have mated with them, hence their genetics would have been non contributory to the human genome.

AFAIK, angels/demons are spirits with no bodies and therefore no DNA.
Demons inhabit human bodies, but any mating that occurred would simply pass on the DNA of the inhabited body, no?

A subject cited as a classic tautology. An argument that can’t be proven or negated as true. Save for the only 2 instances in the Bible, Genesis and Job, where a special Hebrew term is used in describing these “sons of God”... the subject will have to be ultimately explained by the King of Kings himself!
I think it was Bill Murray in Meatballs that had his own version of it:

A careful reading of Geneszis and there is no mystery over with whom early humanoids had sex. Cain went off into the land of Nod and took himself a wife ... Cain and Seth, etc. are not a mystery race.
In reality we don’t know really what sorts of powers angels are capable of exuding or forms that they can take on or if in their possession of humans, they can attempt to manipulate their hosts’ DNA.
Many so called UFO “abductees” report that their captors tended to be sneering and dismissive towards them, referring to them as “containers” as though they were empty vessels. (The import of that reference of being as ‘containers’ is of import when reading in the Bible of Jesus casting out devils.)
Some potential abductees report that these “captor”s tended not to like it when Jesus Christ is mentioned and spiritual songs are sung, even voicelessly and thus these folks, Christians of faith, are released abruptly!
Not all segments of a population evolve at the same speed apparently.
