Presidency on the verge of nervous breakdown: 5 reasons why Obama’s future looks increasingly bleak
The London Telegraph ^ | October 10, 2010 (10/10/10) | Nile Gardiner

Posted on 10/09/2010 11:23:57 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Forget the myth of an Obama recovery. The past week has been disastrous for the White House and America’s increasingly disillusioned Left. No wonder the angry and desperate Vice President Joe Biden is talking about “playing hell” if his party suffers defeat in November.

Here are five reasons why the Obama presidency’s outlook is getting significantly worse, not better:

1. A new Gallup poll suggests the November mid-terms could result in the biggest victory for Republicans in the House since 1894

Gallup’s latest poll is absolutely devastating in its analysis of the Democrats’ prospects for November 2, projecting a 13 point lead for the Republicans based on higher overall turnout, and a staggering 18 point lead if turnout is low. In Gallup’s view:

If there is a widely disproportionate skew in turnout toward Republican voters and their national vote lead ends up being in the double digits, the Republican gains would be very substantial.

As leading election analyst Michael Barone noted, the Gallup numbers “suggest it looks like 1894, when Republicans gained more than 100 seats in a House of approximately 350 seats.” If the Gallup poll proves accurate, we could be looking at a GOP victory in the House of Representatives of absolutely historic proportions, a scenario frightening enough to give even the most seasoned Obama White House adviser nightmares.

2. The Senate now hangs in the balance

Rasmussen’s latest projection has both the Democrats and Republicans with 48 seats in the Senate, with Florida moving into the solid GOP camp, and West Virginia moving from toss up to leans GOP. Four states (all Democrat) are now in the toss-up category: California, Illinois, Nevada and Washington...

Thanks thanks.

The satanic PTB . . . are evidently . . .

1. Very convinced of their plans to trash everything . . . including billions of people . . . literally.

2. “Useless eaters” and their property are of no consequence to the PTB. Stealing the property of the “useless eaters” is easy and their elitist destiny—in their eyes.

3. The traumas looming that they have scheduled and/or that are ‘naturally’ ‘inevitible’ in the near future are so cataclysmic as to make the normal structure of life meaningless to such atheistic, agnostic, satanic PTB anyway.

4. They evidently think that they have their deeply buried and possibly even off-planet ‘safe haven’s’ plushly appointed and secured with their pricless admission tickets well in hand—perhaps literally IN their hands as a chip ID. The only thing the common riff raff are then good for, in their eyes, is to steal from while the stealing is good.

5. They expect to reign supreme in a world ‘cleansed’ of the pesky Christians holding things back from advancing . . . with the ‘helpful support’ of the mysterious ‘ET’s’ and the planet mostly turned into a splended vast natural park for their playground.

6. They think the God of the Bible was an ET Whom satan and his forces plan to defeat—with humans giving satan ‘legal access’ and support and the combined technologies and spiritual forces overcoming God.

7. What idiots. God WILL HAVE THEM IN DERISION. It is the tares that will be thrown into the fires of hell.

Of course, this is very unlikely, but I can still dream.

You have beautiful dreams. :)

What concerns me is that several of the pivotal races (Nevada, for example) are so close, that I am very suspicious that they will be determined by voter fraud- something the pollsters probably do not factor in to their data.

You are correct to be concerned about voter fraud making a couple point difference for the Left. Rinos have done NOTHING to stop the Democrats from stealing races via fake votes and endless, selective recounts and it gets worse with each election.

Alabama wiped out Florida and THEN coasted against South Carolina yesterday. They got whomped.

We've had two years of rage building against this cancerous regime and its puppet press. We cannot coast for a minute.

A quarter of Democrats have turned against the president

Last week’s Washington Post/ABC News poll had an astonishing but barely reported revelation – nearly 25 percent of Democrats now believe “a return to Bush’s policies would be good,” a staggeringly high figure. As The Post reported:

That would help Palin into the WH immensely. Hope it holds for 2 more years and or continues to grow! :)

People are getting ahead of themselves. The polling shows that people hate the plan, but love the planner. IOW, Obama still has them in the palm of his hand, they just are iffy about which way we are going. I firmly believe that when push comes to shove, and people find out that conservatives want a govt that is so small that they will have to fend for themselves, the majority will vote for the govt teat. As Obama moved too fast to the communist takeover side, the conservatives will scare people. Not that they will do anything drastic, just proposing changes, along with the media hyping the fear will be enough.

I never watch mac daddy on the TV, but if I can be assured that he will crack up while being shown on TV I’ll make sure that I’ll watch him then.

For all their complaints about "Tea Baggers" and "Bush lied," they really don't care for the actual living reality of a socialist-turning nation. So these voters--not ALL libs, jsut this bloc I'm talking about--will not vote this time around. Then when the Republicans are back in control they can return to their comfortable norm--bitching and whining about evil capitalists controlling the world and keeping us all from living in a socialist Utopia.

Yeah, all those pro Obama, Hollyweird nutcases have been remarkably silent lately.

My fondest dream, if a massive Pub win on Nov 2 is to liken the continuing aftermath to clubbing sleeping baby Dem-seals on the ice while they helplessly scurry......

However the poweratti Pubs in power, at least the ball-less leadership will likely do as you say. We should be absolutely ruthless in our actions and bug squash everything Obama or his helpers did!

Exactly. The close races are at great risk due to voter fraud and disenfranchised overseas voters.

Absolutely right...further if the pressure is really that difficult for Bo they'll just keep on “vacationing” him from place to place and or keep him on the road campaigning in “safe harbors”...as they're doing now. Note that he spends more time away from his job than he does doing it in Washington. Me thinks ol’ Billy Clintons machine and Soros is working plenty behind the scenes.

Perceptive observation. I can attest that much of the Democrats' strength was anti-Republicanism rather than the attraction of socialism.
