Just as the healthcare drama in the capitol reaches a grand finale, congressional officials are warning employees to avoid the DRUDGE REPORT!

The Senate's Committee on Environment and Public Works issued an urgent email late Monday claiming the DRUDGE REPORT is 'responsible for the many viruses popping up throughout the Senate.'

The committee ordered hill staff: 'Try to avoid' the DRUDGE REPORT 'for now'.

On Monday DRUDGE served over 29 million pages with NOT ONE email complaint received about 'pop ups', or the site serving 'viruses'.

The site was seen 149,967 times since March 1st from users at senate.gov and 244,347 times at house.gov. [10,825 visits from the White House, eop.gov]

If a website is declared to contain viruses, then are government computer administrators allowed to declare the website off-limits to government employees?

It seems there is more smoke here than just a Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works flexing its leftwing.

It sounds like Democrats are scared of what will be reported.

Stopping free information is fascism.

Another link, this time to ABC News.

When ABC News labels the Obama Administration as being a bunch of corrupt deal makers, you know Obama's really in trouble.

His traditional supporters are turning on him. They've had enough. They know an emerging Caligula when they see him, and they know their fate if he consolidates power.

True. A big portion of our threads are from there, the important or weird ones anyway.

I’ve been checking in with Drudge several times a day for the past decade and never had a problem with viruses. This is B.S. I hope they don’t intimidate Drudge. He’s been doing great work informing the people. This administration is downright scary trying to shut down free speech. I’ve had about all I could take of this “transformation”.

ALL dissent MUST be shut down or made unavailable. The party in charge will do anything they can even if it means violating the First Amendment. So far they are afraid to take on TALK RADIO. Must figure they can shut down Drudge.

Obama is the worst President in my life (and I can remember living under Truman). Obama is passing Carter hands down.

And, so it begins. Little by little the erosion of Freedom of Speech. This will only be a foretaste of things to come.

I think self-preservation is kicking in. They’ve been useful idiots, and now they know that the purge is coming.

Why? Drudge links to all types of news sources, not just the ‘right-wing’ kind.

No viruses, but I've found myself sweating, curled up in the fetal position in my office after reading the Rahm and Massa shower story. EWWWWW!
