At first blush, Cook wouldn't have any grounds for action with his employer, and he definitely wouldn't be able to sue (successfully) the Army for revoking his security clearance, if that indeed happened.

You're probably right, JAG, but could this be a case of Unlawful Command Influence since whoever instigated punitive measures against the reservist without an Article 32 hearing or charges of misconduct or missing movement and did so simply for the challenge to the legality of the order?

We as individuals, however, can make a gift to that individual. None of this is tax deductible. That is what my friend is going to do... $1000 as a gift to him to help support him and his family as they experience this retaliation for daring to question the anointed one.

Good point Sword...it wouldn’t be tax deductible...strike the NP thing...perhaps we just setup a bank account in his family name and donate to that...it would be nice to somehow keep track of the donations, just to know if it’s small or much, to know how he’s doing...maybe whoever sets it up could do that also.

I had the same process. The Navy started the clearance process and the FBI did the investigations. After I was vetted by the FBI, my top secret clearance was granted by the Navy/DoD.
