A California attorney lobbying the U.S. Supreme Court for a review of Barack Obama's qualifications to be president confronted the chief justice yesterday with legal briefs and a WND petition bearing names of over 325,000 people asking the court to rule on whether or not the sitting president fulfills the Constitution's "natural-born citizen" clause.
According to Orly Taitz, the attorney who confronted Chief Justice John Roberts at a lecture at the University of Idaho, the judge promised before the gathered crowd that he would, indeed, read and review the briefs and petition.
"I addressed him in front of 800 people in the audience," Taitz told WND, "including university officials, the president of the Idaho State Bar and the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Idaho, and in front of all them, [Roberts] promised to read my papers."
Roberts was lecturing on Abraham Lincoln to approximately 1,200 attendees of the annual Bellwood Memorial Lecture Series at the Moscow, Idaho, university. Roberts has been chief justice of the Supreme Court since his nomination by President George W. Bush and subsequent confirmation in 2005.
Earlier in the week, Taitz confronted Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who told her the issue of Obama's eligibility, which has been raised before the Supreme Court at least four times but has yet to be given a single hearing, still lacked the votes of the required four justices in conference before it would be officially heard.
Taitz said, "I told Scalia that I was an attorney that filed Lightfoot v. Bowen that Chief Justice Roberts distributed for conference on Jan. 23 and now I represent nine state reps and 120 military officers, many of them high ranked, and I want to know if they will hear Quo Warranto and if they would hear it . . .

Well, ya don't have to be Supreme Court justice to suspect that anyone who spends hundreds of thousands of dollars fighting court actions in several states rather than just invest $12.50 on a Birth Certificate HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE!
Enjoy your time in time in the WH while you can, Hussein, because your jig is fast coming up!
I knew that eventually they would have to address this Constitutional law!
Where’s the video of this Q/A session? It will have the truth of what was said.
Agreed! Orly Taitz for “Woman of the Year.”
Kenya (and his mother was to young to pass along American citizenship).
Shhh! You'll scare the children! ; )
I know, it's not exactly a win-win scenario, but if Biden destroys the country, it will more likely to be an accident.
Somehow I'm just not feeling any better...
No school pictures of him and classmates in Hawaii?
No baby / toddler pictures of him outside anywhere in Hawaii?
No rental record or anything showing family owning a home?
No utility bills?
No church records?
No Driver License records of family?
this list could go on forever...
Wouldn't the office of President then go to the runner up in the Presidential election, John McCain, the RINO?
Neither "out of the frying pan, into the fire," or "out of the fire, into the frying pan" sounds quite right.
Regardless, I'm more convinced than ever that the Rats and RINO's are taking us in the same direction. Just that the RINO's are going just a little slower, but not much.
Sad, but probably true. So much effort/money has been made/spent to obfuscate the facts.
The obamination's stock is falling faster than you can say:
Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter=Climate Change
The summer of 2010, before the elections, a group of Congressmen will enter the Oval Office with a piece of paper demanding that Obama resign.
Let us pray.
Actually, where Obama was born is irrelevant. That his father was never an American citizen of any form makes Obama ineligible to be president.
Yet the ignorant masses are too dumbed down to understand that simple conclusion therefore finding out where he was born (probably Kenya, why would his Grandmother lie?) works best in achieving public support.
Surprisingly some in the MSM are beginning to pick up this story and reporting on the multitudes of legal filings against Obama. They are bringing up the fact that Obama has spent millions (probably) on legal fee’s all in an attempt to prevent his vault birth certificate from being released (along with his academic record etc).
When the average person hears this it obviously makes them suspicious. Why not just show the damn certificate and get this over with?..was the question a neighbor of mine, a Obama supporter, had when reading a mainstream media report over this issue.
Personally, I was beyond skeptical when I first learned of the controversy and believed pursuit of his eligibility was the wrong tact for conservatives to take against Obama; it was much to easy to paint so called “birthers” in with the UFO crowd.
The more Obama’s minions fought to keep his birth certificate sealed and refused to release other information ALWAYS released by other presidents, I became convinced this man was a usurper.
I’m not denying your statement but could you please provide me a source for the Hawaii Dept. of Ed having no record of Obama attending Noelani Elementary School.
I’d like to add it to a editorial I’m currently creating for a website.
Thanks...
Home births were not all that unusual among the hippy crowd.
I’m skeptical enough of our judicial system to believe the USSC will either not hear this and other motions or if they do will deny them.
There are many reasons why they will not rule against Obama.
First is fear of millions of his supporters literally destroying the country as they riot, thousands would be killed along with massive destruction of government and private possessions. He’s dropping quickly in polls but is still extremely popular with those who would riot at a moments notice.
Second is fear for their own lives, even with the massive security measures used to protect them.
Third is knowing full well removing Obama still leaves the Democrats in charge, and while it’s beyond rare, there are measures that can be used to remove a Supreme Court Justice from office, and I believe the Dems have the votes to do it.
Aside from this we have extreme liberal justices who’ve slowly voted to move our country into socialism (Kelo for instance); these justices approve of Obama’s rush to socialism and will not prevent him from accomplishing his goal.
There are other reasons I believe the USSC will not remove Obama even with total and complete proof of his ineligibility to be president. I pray I’m wrong and you’re right!!!!
If it’s proven Obama was ineligible to be president wouldn’t it follow his administration, VP pick and all legislation he’s signed would also be invalid?
When I look at all the energy that grassroots conservatives have poured into this issue, it makes me cringe a little. Maybe he's a phony. Maybe (run for the hills!) he's legit. But the point is, it is only in fantasy that someone gets into power and then is kicked back out because of a paperwork issue, even if it's a huge constitutional nightmare. Doesn't matter. He has power, and power doesn't roll over for paperwork. Where are the precedents?
Think about this. The dems had a storyline, back in spring of '08, that McCain was ineligible because of some BS about being born in Panama. (On a military base, with US Citizens as parents, I know, but the point is, a bunch of them apparently believed that they had a case.) And yet we hardly heard a peep from them about it. Why? They realized that that was a tactical black hole. You don't pour your time and energy into the off chance that SCOTUS will reverse an election. You invest it where you have leverage.
Being right does not, ipso facto, mean you are being strategic.
won’t make any difference...someone will get a hold of Hussein’s Birth Certificate and you’ll see it on Drudge...
BUSTED!
I think you’re right. Somebody or a group of people will talk to Roberts and tell him to just leave it alone. And he will leave it alone if he knows what’s good for him, his wife, and his children. That secret service agent assigned to him could turn into an assassin at the drop of a hat.
Art Bell much?
