Sorry, I couldn't find a news source for this. The media would love to keep this quiet.

The House passed the bill in September, and the Senate passed it today. Soak the US taxpayers again to fund global liberal feel good crap. Obama wrote the bill. This is only the tip of the iceberg should he win the White House.

BOHICA!

Here is a thread from yesterday talking about the bill being rammed through the committee.

At direct odds to this is any initiative to reduce "greenhouse gas" emissions.

"Greenhouse gases" = prosperity.

The ideals are good but the apparatus sucks. Poverty makes for good terrorist recruiting and also support for dictators. However, whacking the tax payers of the US when we are the ones raising the world’s standard of living already is BS!!!

Don’t be too surprised if Bush signs it.

I’ve been watching the Senate all morning. I have not seen this bill come up for a vote.

Surely GWB will veto this monster. This has been kept out of the news and is being passed under cover of no coverage. It’s the way that communists always work best.

You mean it's really called that? -- I clicked on it to see who was hell-bent on assuring global poverty! ;-)

Since it was in Committee, it should have only been a committee vote, not a full Floor vote, today.

Calling the White House comment line to ask GWB to veto this ludicrous Bill. Obama is just trying to win MORE points. How much do we now contribute and, sadly, often money doesn’t go to the poor, it goes to corrupt govt officials.

I think they just voted it out of committee, not on the Senate floor in general.

Sadly, I’m sure Bush will sign it. With a very few exceptions, Bush is turning out to be quite the liberal socialist.

This is what you’ll get more of if you “stay home” from voting in the fall election because you didn’t get the “perfect” republican canidate.

It was scheduled for a Thursday vote but was moved up a day, to Wednesday, and rushed through by voice vote. Kincaid learned, however, that conservative Senators have now put a "hold" on the legislation, in order to prevent it from being rushed to the floor for a full Senate vote.
