Few will know this genetic truth, because the 5-year-old's parents and school administrators have agreed that it's in his best interest to blend in as a female.
Mental health professionals have diagnosed Pat - not his real name - with gender dysphoria, a condition in which a person believes that he or she is the opposite gender. After two years of examination, they have determined that he is not simply effeminate or going through a phase.
"Gender dysphoria can take place during a fetus' development in the womb," said noted gender specialist and sexologist Marilyn Volker, Ph.D., of Miami.
While this tyke is likely the youngest transgendered child admitted to a South Florida school, he is not unique. Both the Broward and Miami-Dade County school systems have policies in place to smooth the way for such students and their families.
Equality Florida, which advocates for Florida's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, and PFLAG - Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays - say the two school districts have the most progressive policies in the state.
Broward and Miami-Dade are among the most exemplary school districts "when it comes to the rights of transgendered people," said Tobias Packer, South Florida Field Organizer for Equality Florida, who himself is transgendered.
Student victims
Carole Benowitz, Florida state coordinator for PFLAG, agrees. Her adult son is gay.
Benowitz said that two years ago - at a Broward high school she declined to name - she was called in after a group of boys beat up another student, whom they believed to be an effeminate boy. In fact, the victim was transgendered - a biological female who looked, dressed and behaved like a male. Benowitz was brought in to counsel the administrators, the students and the victim.

Help! I think I might be a lesbian trapped inside the body of a man. I demand my Constitutional right to use the ladies locker room.
"when it comes to the rights of transgendered people,"
It is as possible to change one's sex (the DNA doesn't change and neither does reproductive functionality) as it is to change one's race.
Is this little boy is a lesbian?
There is a documented case in Canada of two twin boys. One of the boys had a surgical accident during circumcision. A very evil and sick "medical health professional" convinced the parents to perform an "experiment" with his life and totally remove his penis and raise the boy as a girl.
It was tragic. The boy went insane, and in later life was consumed by drugs, alcohol, and suicidal tendencies.
He later re-assumed his role as a male when he could break away from the "doctor" and his parents, but I believe he killed himself a few years ago.
Anyone else know about this tragic story? It was on a television program.
REG: Furthermore, it is the birthright of every man--
STAN: Or woman.
REG: Why don't you shut up about women, Stan. You're putting us off.
STAN: Women have a perfect right to play a part in our movement, Reg.
FRANCIS: Why are you always on about women, Stan?
STAN: I want to be one.
REG: What?
STAN: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me 'Loretta'.
REG: What?!
LORETTA: It's my right as a man.
JUDITH: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
LORETTA: I want to have babies.
REG: You want to have babies?!
LORETTA: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
REG: But... you can't have babies.
LORETTA: Don't you oppress me.
REG: I'm not oppressing you, Stan. You haven't got a womb! Where's the foetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
LORETTA: [crying]
JUDITH: Here! I-- I've got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can't actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody's fault, not even the Romans', but that he can have the right to have babies.
FRANCIS: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
REG: What's the point?
FRANCIS: What?
REG: What's the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can't have babies?!
FRANCIS: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
REG: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.
We live in a totally female dominated society, who isn't confused....
I remember some FR threads as the news stories circulated.
I do not know what became of him or the mad scientist who decided to experiment with someone else's life.
Don't worry, my boys are wearing their Superman underwear today. So far I have been only letting them jump off the couch to fly, even though they think it would be better training to let them jump off the roof. I will go let them now, it is afterall for the good of mankind, or at least their feelings (in the short term.)
Old news.
There was a famous lesbian couple who wanted a deaf child (they were both deaf and played the odds in selecting a semen sample to genetically craft a deaf child).
Their first born was a boy (I think he was deaf). I think they eventually got their deaf girl they so wanted.
PBS did a profile on them (and did not call them abusive monsters).
If this can occur, then why is it not proof that homosexuality is an accident in the womb?
Superman doesn't fly anymore. He's now just a computer cartoon, so if they want to be "Superman", then they should learn to program computers < /sarc >

The "science" behind that study leaves a lot to be desired. The reasarch pool was less than 100 subjects. Most of the fags I know were only children.
BTW: Welcome to FR -not.
"Few will know this genetic truth, because the 5-year-old's parents and school administrators have agreed that it's in his best interest to blend in as a female."
Uh-huh. I wonder how much "in his best interest" its going to be when he becomes the whipping boy(?) for the student population in middle school. Those kids can be mean! And I don't think shoe-prints in his butt are going to do wonders for his "self-esteem", nor will his litany of nicknames (use your imagination!). Ridiculous.
BTW, my younger brother wanted to grow up to be an elephant and eat peanuts in the zoo all day. Good thing my parents did the right thing and set him straight! Today he is an awesome husband and father of three beautiful children. Much better than peanuts, I think.
More pop psychology to make 'confused' people feel better about themselves.
