Few will know this genetic truth, because the 5-year-old's parents and school administrators have agreed that it's in his best interest to blend in as a female.
Mental health professionals have diagnosed Pat - not his real name - with gender dysphoria, a condition in which a person believes that he or she is the opposite gender. After two years of examination, they have determined that he is not simply effeminate or going through a phase.
"Gender dysphoria can take place during a fetus' development in the womb," said noted gender specialist and sexologist Marilyn Volker, Ph.D., of Miami.
While this tyke is likely the youngest transgendered child admitted to a South Florida school, he is not unique. Both the Broward and Miami-Dade County school systems have policies in place to smooth the way for such students and their families.
Equality Florida, which advocates for Florida's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, and PFLAG - Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays - say the two school districts have the most progressive policies in the state.
Broward and Miami-Dade are among the most exemplary school districts "when it comes to the rights of transgendered people," said Tobias Packer, South Florida Field Organizer for Equality Florida, who himself is transgendered.
Student victims
Carole Benowitz, Florida state coordinator for PFLAG, agrees. Her adult son is gay.
Benowitz said that two years ago - at a Broward high school she declined to name - she was called in after a group of boys beat up another student, whom they believed to be an effeminate boy. In fact, the victim was transgendered - a biological female who looked, dressed and behaved like a male. Benowitz was brought in to counsel the administrators, the students and the victim.

BTW, I personally know two pairs of IDENTICAL twins where one is gay and the other isn't. In one case, the straight one was my college room mate, and he was one of the most normal people I've ever met.
Perhaps the homosexuality in this case comes from one identical twin wanting the one thing that would make him different than the other twin.
As an aside on the story notice the mother has a masters in counseling. My guess is this kid is the product of a councilor experimenting on her own children.
Possibly, but it definitely would seem to preclude any genetic predisposition.
Bottom line: being gay or same sex attracted is the ABNORMAL state of the normal state or opposite sex attracted.
Therefore we should have, all along, been helping them OVERCOME and NOT SUCCUMB to the resulting ABNORMAL sexual behavior.

This is nothing but so-called "mental health experts" engaging in job protection. They are going to screw this kid up so bad he'll need their "help" for the rest of his life.
The kid wants to play with dolls, give him a GI Joe. If he insists on dresses, buy him a kilt, tell him he's scottish, and give him bag-pipe lessons.
Miserably sick and twisted, with lives ruined in the process. The kid will likely never be able to lead a normal life with this upbringing.

My (now 10-year-old) son spent the greater part of the last four years practicing his Jedi moves on his little brother, who then "practiced" his right hook on big brother. Much Havoc Was Wreaked.
So...as of last Monday, my own little knight-in-training began...fencing lessons. And guess what? He seems to be pretty good! Of course, I know next to nothing about real Olympic fencing, but I keep hearing the coach say, "Do it like Billy!" to the other kids. I've never seen him so happy at a sport.

PS: As for the poor unfortunate little boy in the story, well...IMO, his parents are to blame, but they are aided and abetted by the mental health "professionals" who will tell them over and over again that everything's hunky-dorey with him. Furthermore, any child who teases this disturbed boy will themselves be made to undergo "counseling." It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world.

Gay is a state of mind, not a genetically determined factor.

"Circumstantial" evidence...is that the proper word? For example...fraternal twins could perhaps explain this phenom. Both raised by same parents in same fashion...one is homosexual and one is heterosexual.
Not sure what this explains considering, Identical twins exhibit the same tendencies at times.. how bout that same genetics yet one chooses to deny nature and the other embraces it...
