Hillary Now Leader at MoveOn White House Protest: "Freepers Should be Shot"
Friday, September 9, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 09/08/2005 11:26:04 PM PDT by kristinn

Byron York of The National Review had a great article yesterday about the devolution of the MoveOn Katrina Victims protest at the White House.

Dana Milbank of the Washington Post also wrote about MoveOn's troubled demonstration.

However, apparently both these fine observers of the scene had departed when the worst part of the MoveOn protest happened.

As Angelwood and I stood talking and debating with malingering MoveOn protesters, a man standing about twenty or thirty feet away from us was giving an interview with an independent D.C. journalist.

I recognized the man as a long time liberal activist from Florida whom we had first met during the build up to the impeachment of President Clinton.

Then, he was defending Bill Clinton, now he's trying to draft his wife Hillary to run for president herself.

It took a while for the man's name to come to mind. It was Bob...something.

As he was giving the interview, the man became agitated and started speaking in a loud voice. He welled up into a tirade and blurted out, "FReepers should be shot!"

I was looking at him as he said this, as his loud voice was naturally drawing the attention of those within ever-growing earshot as his decibel level grew.

Knowing he was out on the political hustings and has been on TV shows and been quoted many times in the press, I asked him if he had just said that we (Freepers) should be shot . I thought maybe he'd take it back and try to excuse himself for being so worked up.

But no, he responded, "Yes, you should be shot!"

He walked away after that. The police did nothing.

Angelwood and I left soon after. The man's name finally came to me. Bob Kunst, president of Hillary Now.

I suppose he's lucky the TV cameras were long gone by then. But there is an audiotape. There was a microphone right in his face when he yelled out, "Freepers should be shot!"

Here is an excerpt from the 2004 rant/letter this creep wrote to Hillary, complete with

BARF ALERT

....The issue in all of this is: "TAXATION WITH REPRESENTATION". This is the reason for the American Revolution and the reason any of us do pay taxes, which is our first Amendment right to be our consenting selves. As adults, it is only our business who we make love with. It isn't anyone else's business. It's called "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Our Bill of Rights is not subject to debate or to the will of the majority.

All of this is under attack again, by the fanatical "American Taliban" of the Anita/Falwell/Bush gang, who want to use the 'gay marriage' issue to get their foot in the door to tamper with the constitution. They don't want a separation of church and state or equal treatment under the law. It's no different than the Mullahs wanting an Islamic state and only their way is the way, or else.

In an AP story on March 15, 2004, A.P. you were quoted as saying that states should decide the contentious issue of whether gays should be allowed to get married. Since when do state's rights matter more than our constitutional federal rights?

Would you apply this standard to the right of a woman to choose an abortion? What if most of the states wanted to ban this right? Here in Florida the legislature wants to make an amendment to the state constitution forbidding teens to get an abortion without telling their parents. The Florida Supreme Court has twice said the opposite; based on decisions regarding the Privacy Rights Constitutional Amendment we passed in 1980 that allows for teens to get abortions without parental consent. Now we see this being amended. The Constitution is supposed to protects us all, but those who don't like it get it changed so that the law conforms to their political, emotional and sexual limitations and to hell with the rest of us.

Once this dangerous door is opened, it attacks all of us. Without the constitution we have no protections.

This week, I saw "Ironed Jawed Angels" on HBO. It was about the struggle for women to get the right to vote in the middle of WWI, and what they faced. It was so familiar to the struggle going on today, affecting us all again. The freedom to choose, the right to privacy and to honor taxation with representation is a constant struggle to keep and the present divisions could produce a catastrophe for this country.

We fought a civil war over slavery and state's rights. Why go back to this dangerous aspect of making Gays officially second-class, with constitutional amendments that could sweep the nation? This divide and conquer America strategy can only benefit our enemies who want to destroy everything America stands for.

"Kerry backs state ban on gay marriage" was the headline of the Boston Globe on 2/26/04. If he's willing to do this on a local state-by-state level, which Bush wants on a federal level, then he's lost me completely. Kerry's position is even more horrendous as it could sweep across to 50 states. Besides it attacks the Massachusetts Supreme Court decision that said that separate isn't equal and civil unions are not the same as marriage itself. For some inane reason Rep. Barney Frank of MA, who is also gay, thinks that it's okay to protect Gays in MA as second-class and not worry that this could spread to the rest of the nation.

The bottom line is that if one pays taxes, one is entitled to all that everyone else is entitled to. That is the U.S. constitution. We have invaded Iraq to install this so-called democracy, which Bush and Kerry want to deny at home.

For you to embrace this position is both immoral, and undemocratic and will come back to haunt you on all levels.

We need to embrace the U.S. constitution and not leave the potential for discrimination to each state.

We need to embrace free choice and love and stop worrying about protecting the institution of marriage that has a 50% divorce rate, with 35% of kids without fathers and 90% of the police work being domestic violence. If we go back to biblical times men had hundreds of wives if they could afford them, yet we have the Adam and Eve syndrome today as the only standard that must be protected (as if there is anything left of the nuclear family to begin with).

As a leading gay activist, and Jewish activist who has been fighting Nazis all of my life (I have been to 31 Holocaust death camps. See Shalom International), I must raise some very critical issues here as well.

For Gays and Lesbians who want to get married, let them. But our movement has been high jacked by this very limited group within our own community. All other issues of discrimination and neglect we have suffered from, including an Aids Genocide that has cost us over 500,000 of our brothers out there, is lost in this debate on 'gay marriage', pushed by Andrew Sullivan and his cronies. However, now that the gauntlet has been thrown down, it's become an all or nothing story here. I'm not sure that those pushing 'gay marriage' have a clue as to what they have done or are doing on this matter.

No question 'gay marriage' isn't going to go away and will play a key role in the 2004 election and sadly Kerry is already in trouble as a result of his capitulations. The City of Key West is getting on board with the issue. Yesterday two ministers were charged with criminal offenses for marrying 13 gay couples in Kingston, NY, where my dad came from. On Sunday, the Herald had a story about how the King of Cambodia was in support of Gay Marriages. On Saturday, Richard Gephardt came out for it. In NY State, Attorney General Elliot Spitzer and many other public officials are publicly supporting it.

While I enjoy watching all these same sex couples kissing on the evening news and giving indigestion to all those homophobes who want to destroy the U.S. Constitution, we must realize that this issue isn't going away, but is growing.

This is the" Boston Tea Party" and "Second American Revolution" all over again with America demanding freedom from the religious fanatics and threats to our Democracy from within, no different from those who would do us in from afar......

Yours Faithfully,
Bob Kunst

Sorry about that, but I thought it useful to throw into a little higher profile what has been coming out of this guy's walnut brain.

Note the font color, which I tastefully chose to match the style of the prose.

It's interesting to see the intellectual inconsistencies and disconnects, the internal tensions that run rampant in his screed, connected only by the supreme, captious wilfulness of the writer. It's very nearly an exercise in solipsism, that deals with ideas and concepts only as they relate to what the writer wants right now, that identifies this screed to all readers of every future age and time as the product of a tantrum-throwing, civilization-rotting superliberal and moral cretin.

Larry Kramer could have written this ...... this.......prourpment.

Seems our thread leader has got himself a real live one in this guy.

Or do rational southerners want to share a nation with ted kennedy, schumer or hillary?

My own solution is to arrange a territorial trade with Canada.

They get New England, Long Guyland, Martha Stewart, Chappaqua, and the east (right) bank of the Hudson as high as the Croton Reservoir, following the river up to the marshes close to the New York/Connecticut state line and then following the New York state line north. With that they get about 30,000,000 New Englanders, almost all Democrats.

We get British Columbia, Manitoba, and everything in between, plus the Yukon. They keep Nunavut and the frozen treasurehouse of the North. We get Alberta gas and oil, lots of Pacific coastline, scenery, the Canadian Rockies, fisheries, and salmon hatcheries, and about 5,000,000 Canadians who'd register on our political radar as somewhere between moderate conservative to left-leaning MOR, with about 3,000,000 socialists of varying degrees of hardness of core thrown in, who hopefully would leave right away for pinker climates further east.

Sound like a deal?

Then all we'd have to do is to figure out a way to get rid of Ithaca, City of Evil, and persuade all that left-wing screen talent in Hollywood to take up working at Shepperton Studios in England among the Eurosocialists.

Then everybody be happy!!

Massive GROUP NERVOUS BREAKDOWN is what we are witnessing.
It's pretty funny, but think they are going to get more and more dangerous. Right now they are cornered RATS and cornered rats will bite.

Yep. We need to keep working on our political exterminating, though. If not, they'll just go back to breeding like the sewer rats they are (Except the flaming queers. They're mutant rats. They'll just try to steal everyone else's kids).

That 13% Bush disapproval poll by the MSM is very telling.

Their SPIN, Their Poll, Their selection of the pool.

they still could not get above 13%.

don't forget howard dean's "purple plan" the idea is to obscure the division to infultrate.

I think the left is adopting the old school communist subversive underground plan. The are going to try and infultrate as many communication outlets as possible.

Their first goal is to shut down or regulate to death places like FR.

I don't know if anyone has come up with the correct answer yet, but here it is:

In the early days of Rush's national syndication, he was a sudden, unexpected blaze of light in the unrelieved darkness of the leftist media monopoly.

It's hard to describe how happy -- and astonished -- some of us were to finally hear someone saying what we had been thinking. Thousands, or hundreds of thousands, of us thought we were the only one left who held to those beliefs, because there was no Internet and no communication with like-minded others. Many of us felt like we were the last man alive at Fort Desolation.

Hell, back in the early 1980s, even other Naval officers would give me the, "What a nutball" eyeroll if I talked about liberal media bias.

And then, like Jan Sobieski at the gates of Vienna, here was this man with his unabashed, bold, confident, humorous expression of the things that made us the ugly ducklings in an ocean of liberal hegemony.

I've only succeeded in communicating a fraction of what I would like to say about that...it was like being liberated from a Gulag. Free at last; free at last; thank God, I'm free at last! There was a feeling of immense joy and gratitude.

People would say, "Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for smashing the liberal blackout of conservative thought in the media."

To get some idea, go to the Bakesale clips on the best of Rush on TV at 24/7. I watched them yesterday, and it almost brought tears to my eyes, remembering those heady days.

In the early days of Rush's show, caller after caller would spend time trying to express the thoughts I've touched on above. This was taking time away from the issues, so finally he said, hey, we all understand it, it's been said many times, so just use "ditto" as shorthand for all that.

Und dot's da real story.

What a gracious post...wish Rush could see it, even if he has heard it a zillion times.

I never knew the basis of 'ditto', and now that I do, I LOVE IT!

I share you experience, I first heard of Rush from my hubby. He had come home to our house in Gechingen, GE. (We lived there for seven years as he worked at Patch Barracks, second to NATO, an all service command just outside Suttgart in a community called Vahingen.)

He was kind of excited, said everyone was talking about this radio show at work, and that we could catch the hour of the show on the overseas military network (AFN) carried at midnight.

We listened.

We were hooting and howling during that first small portion of his show that we could capture.

Our conversations, political activism and love for this nation have gone only upwards as a result of FINALLY understanding that we were not alone.

You truly, cannot imagine, what bill klinton and his snake of a wife had done to damage the moral of our military. WE SAW IT UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL.

Rush was like a wind under our wings, and he blew through Patch Barracks, lifting spirits everywhere.

And until we were transfered back home, his show was main source of information (fighting against the horrific mainstream media and their damaging, hurtful attitude towards our military) and inspiration.

I stand with you 100% on your post.

And I believe that hitlery, should she ever become president, would go after this website with such a vengeance (probably making it some kind of impossible to overcome money threat).

She is keenly aware of FReepers, as are moveon and MANY organizations that despise this forum.

FR not only hashes out the news, we are often up front in reporting the news as well as finding factual FAULT with the news....we are a great BIG thorn, stuck deeply and painfully into their fatuous bums.

Which is just about where I want to be.

I'll probably have to consult a lawyer to see if there's anything that can be done to preclude Kunst from making good on his words.

I wouldn't worry about it. Histrionics that slip from the lips of liberals like this rarely manifest in actual violence. That would be sooooo uncivilized. Now if it was Bill Clinton when he was the Prez, you'd have a problem with FOB (Friends of Bill). But a small minded drooling idiot like Kunst? Not a problem.

I see you on the front lines of this. Do you believe as I do that what they really want is a civil war?

"I've never seen the country so intensely polarized. I begin to worry about the possibility of Civil War."

And the loonies will do what?

Air America is spinning into the commode. Thirteen per cent (13 %) of Americans think President Bush is to blame in the hurricane difficulties. Conservatives outnumbers Cindy What's-her-name and her press associates by a LOT.

It wouldn't be a civil war. It would be a civil gang fight. (And we'll win that one, too.)

"that we could catch the hour of the show on the overseas military network (AFN) carried at midnight."

There's a story behind that, too.

At first, AFN refused to carry Rush. They said, "We polled our listeners (which was a blatant lie) and they don't want Limbaugh."

So Rush went on his show and said, "BS. Know what I'm gonna do? I'm going to poll our military overseas *at my own expense* and find out if they want this show or not." (Or words to that effect.)

The very next day -- THE VERY NEXT DAY -- the liberal slime running AFN caved and agreed to run one hour of his show. Of course, with commercial breaks, that's only 40-some minutes, as opposed to the hours and hours and hours and hours of liberal filth they broadcast every day.

Then, instead of splicing the segments together and broadcasting them continuously, they used the commercial breaks to splice in things that constituted spitting in the faces of Rush's listeners, like Jim Hightower's mindless drivel.

And, as I expected, they managed to have frequent "technical difficulties" that would black out parts of that single 40-minute non-liberal broadcast, or would "prevent" them from putting it on at all.

Never with NPR or Garrison Keillor, never with CNN news or ABC or AP news--only with Rush. And, of course, they took James Dobson off altogether.

I would really love to see those treasonous b******s brough up before a Nuremburg-like court, with similar verdicts.

He looks particularly well fed as does the gentleman next to him. Not something I would expect from someone so concerned about poverty, but then we know it doesn't have anything to do with poverty, or Katrina, does it. Why can't we all just become good little socialists so we can all just get along?

Here are my thought on the subject.

Lest there be any doubt as to why I have my black labrador acting as my guard dog at night. This is why.

These criminal elements clearly do not want to co-exist with us. They want us dead.

The Democrat party is indeed a criminal enterprise. This statment by Bob Kunst proves it beyond all reasonable doubts.

People should really ask themselves given these statements here if they really want Hillary as president in 2008.

Regards.
