Please take the time to watch this video, we must remember those on September 11, 2001. We can never forget, and we can not let those who wish us to forget to let us forget. Please, take 15 minutes from freeping, this is bookmarked on my home page, Thank you FReepers. Indy.
If you let it run past the video, there are many good quotes after.
Here's a wish for baby cousin Matthew:
A long, happy, peaceful, and prosperous life filled with joy and wonder and all good things!
Never.
"You were a good dog."
The saddest part of this that we DON'T show this regularly. Amercians need to be reminded, starkly, of 9/11.
It hurts like hell, but it is a reminder of the mettle of you New Yorkers.
God bless you all and keep you in His gentle embrace. And all of us as well.
Thank you.
Thank you. I have not cried so hard in a good while. Watching those photos - it was like 9/11 was yesterday.
So, that's the same film you were talking about. It's awesome! That should be required viewing for any history class. I'm seriously considering getting an ma in history and a teaching certifcate just to teach history to kids. I'm still tossing that idea around.
Congratulations, on your cousin. Sorry for your friend.
God Bless little Mathew!
We on FR will never forget. It's our duty to not let our friends and relatives forget. Pass this on to every one you know, and DISCUSS it with them.
Awww... man... [snif]

Set against the backdrop of the immeasurable grief of that place and that time... I need these great stories.
I'm gonna make this a doggie ping. See Calpernia's post above!
Click the doggieping link above if you want ambrose's bad news of the day today... I didn't feel like pinging it. Too depressing.
Do it, Indy! God knows we need teachers who will teach REAL history, not made-up claptrap!
Never forget bump!
In mid May, 2001, my son and I saw the Trade Towers driving north past the Meadowlands on our way to my home in upstate NY for my father's funeral. We took a day trip to NYC while there and saw them from the Battery and the Street. We saw them from Liberty and Ellis Islands. We saw the on 9.11 on the news falling 5000 miles away. We remember; we will never forget!
We lost more than 3000 on 9.11. But NYFD and NYPD and unknown EMTs saved so many more at great cost to themselves.
Ping for dogs with jobs. Heros, they are.
If only there were some way to tell them how important their job is. Of course, they seem to know.

Sniff sniff...
You're way better than me with credits. Thanks, I've seen it and it it awesome. Everyone needs to get their hands on that film and watch it. Especially show it when your lib relatives are visiting, just have it running in the background.
Thanks. This will be passed on. Does anyone know how to save this? I am not particularly computer literate.
