Back in the late 1970s there was a show called "What's Happening".

I don't remember much about it but there was this character called Re-Run. On one episode, the gang went to a Doobie Brothers concert and the Re-Run character was taping the show and was caught by the band. Subsequently, the Doobie Brothers lectured Re-Run and he was quite contrite.

It was a rather lame episode to tell you the truth. I mean, how much of a market could there have been for a bootlegged Doobie Brothers show. Lame.

Then there was James at 15 - another obscure show from that era.

After holding out for more money, he eventually was taken off “What’s Happening” and the reboot “What’s Happening Now?”.

I didn’t watch it. But ran across it on late night TV and looked it up.

Still, those were good days.

Part of the episode but some guy injected himself in the shot and screwed it up. Too bad. Might have been a good oldie.
