The statement added that CBS reporters had verified the documents by talking to unidentified individuals who saw them "at the time they were written." This is probably true. They were likely declared "authentic" by people who saw them written - in 2004. This is why liberals are so stupid...especially those at DUmb.com. These people just can't phathom that CBS wanted these memos to be true, which is exactly why they ran with it. And they ran with it despite the fact that others did have concerns for their authenticity.

Heck, from what I heard this AM, CBS may have hired a "handwriting" expert, instead of a typologist. They've also obviously missed the news that real experts have weighed in and agree with the conclusions that many of us ", dumbass...goofy ass Freepers" came to at the very moment the documents went public.

While most of the world now agrees that there is something at least suspicious about these memos, it is only CBS and DUmbland that is in denial. Who are the goofy ass' now?

The four documents WERE FORGED. The documents were fake.

Dan Rather (CBS News, 60 Minutes) FAXED these four documents TO the White House BEFORE the 60 Minutes show was aired. Across the top of these documents is the FAX NUMBER HEADER that CBS used to fax the sheets from their Washington office to the White House. These numbers are "superimposed and printed across the top of ANY fax sheet you receive anywhere. They are August, 2004 dates, as you would properly expect.

CBS sent a forged piece of paper dated 1972. The White House fax machine creates a "new" sheet of paper with an August 2004 date printed at the top of a sheet, and THAT sheet (with CBS fax number at the top!) is copied and given to the AP.

The AP converts that piece of paper to pdf format, and we read the CBS fax number.
Separately, one a different day and from a different news group, the AP sent a FOIA request to the White House DEMANDING more National Guard documents.

The White House GAVE to AP all the documents, including the FAKE documents THEY HAD RECEIVED from CBS.

The White House MADE NO COMMENT about the ANG documents they had received fro CBS ... Because the White House COUDLN'T know anything about them. The White didn't write them , didn't know about them, and couldn't verify those four documents. So they said nothing.
