Hillary would like nothing better than to jump in about the end of September. Not enough time to question all her past activities. Impossible. Ballot deadlines have already passed in every state, absentee ballots have gone out to expats and the military.
The Dems are stuck with Kerry, like it or not.

Take as a given that it is impossible to remove Kerry's name from any state ballot. What is the effect of that, should Kerry become unavailable?
Answer: the DEM party names a substitute -- which is moot if the party does not obtain a majority of the electoral college. But, it is legal, and the mechanisms are in place, to have the electors (already chosen, along with alternates) vote for a person for the Office of President when the electors meet in their respective state capitals in December.

So what happens if Kerry decides that he can't continue because 'his cancer returns' or some other problem. The Democrats may be stuck with him, but is he stuck with them?

Impossible. Ballot deadlines have already passed in every state, absentee ballots have gone out to expats and the military. Election laws and deadlines have never stopped the RATS before. The problem this time though would be having to win the battle in 50 states and not just a single, rat controlled court.

That's what we thought here in NJ with Bobbi Torricelli as well. We know how that went down. If Kerry pulls out and is not replaced by someone else, just imagine the fodder it'll give the lefty loonies for the next four years. It would be a nightmare.
