I know Barnes was 27 in 1966 when my brother was in Vietnam. He was at Law School according to a brief bio. Before that he had attended college at Univ. of Texas. So how many deferments did he have? At 30, he had been elected Lt. Governor of Texas.

According to a historical website:

"A lottery drawing - the first since 1942 - was held on December 1, 1969, at Selective Service National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. This event determined the order of call for induction during calendar year 1970, that is, for registrants born between January 1, 1944, and December 31, 1950. Reinstitution of the lottery was a change from the "draft the oldest man first" method, which had been the determining method for deciding order of call.

There were 366 blue plastic capsules containing birth dates placed in a large glass container and drawn by hand to assign order-of-call numbers to all men within the 18-26 age range specified in Selective Service law.

With radio, film and TV coverage, the capsules were drawn from the container, opened, and the dates inside posted in order. The first capsule - drawn by Congressman Alexander Pirnie (R-NY) of the House Armed Services Committee - contained the date September 14, so all men born on September 14 in any year between 1944 and 1950 were assigned lottery number 1. The drawing continued until all days of the year had been paired with sequence numbers.

One thing here, why would Col Killian be overly concerned about Bush and feel the need to make memos on him?
I would guess that there were a lot more young men from far more important and richer connected families in the Guard Unit than Bush.
I think we need to see all those so called memos and I want to know exactly where they came from.
Why didn't they come out long before this? I mean Bush has been through two campaigns for Governor and one for President so those documents, if they are real, have been out there to find for a very long time.
It tells me this is sheer desperation on the Dems part to find this suspicious information at this juncture.
Ben Barnes is a know liar and a fraud. If he was only 29 in 1968 then he also would have eligible for the draft in the 1960's and since we know his Sugar Daddy was LBJ I guess we know how he stayed out of Vietnam.
