Kerry: Cambodia Mission Top Secret
NewsMax.com ^ | 8/18/04 | Carl Limbacher

John Kerry's presidential campaign claimed on Tuesday that his Christmas 1968 mission into Cambodia was top, top secret - and that's why there are no documents that verify the implausible claim.

"During John Kerry's service in Vietnam, many times he was on or near the Cambodian border and on one occasion crossed into Cambodia at the request of members of a special operations group operating out of Ha Tien," Kerry spokesman Michael Meehan said in a statement. But Meehan told the Boston Globe that there was no paperwork to confirm the claim and he could not supply a date for the incursion.

What's more, two of Kerry's crewmates who enthusiastically back his candidacy and who served with him on missions near the Cambodian border insists the crossing never happened.

Michael Medeiros, who served on Swiftboat No. 94 with Kerry and appeared with him at the Democratic National Convention, told the Globe that Kerry and his crew chased an enemy to the Cambodian border - but stooped there. He could not recall dropping off special forces in Cambodia or going inside Cambodia with Kerry.

James Wasser, who accompanied Kerry on the Christmas mission aboard Swiftboat No. 44, said that while he believes they were "very, very close" to Cambodia, they did not enter the country. "It is very hard to tell. There are no signs," he told the Globe.

A third crewmate who opposes Kerry flatly accuses him of lying about Cambodia.

"Never happened," Steve Gardner told the Globe, insisting they never came within 50 miles of the Cambodian border.

I'd love to see Mr. T knock him out.

What the entire world seems to be missing here is as Meehan said "it was top, top secret". I am an ex-submariner, and one thing we know really well is keeping secrets. First off, there is no Top, Top secret. There are things above top secret , but you need a security clearance to know what they are even called. The three we all know about are Top Secret, Secret and Classified. These are downgraded 1 classification every 25 years if not given a reason to maintain it's current classification. Therefore if nobody objected, Kerry's supposed Cambodia trip would be declassified Christmas 2043. If you choose to believe Kerry and Meehan are not lying sacks of ...., then Kerry violated a large number of US federal laws, and if he was still in the reserve when he started telling his line of BS, then he violated several artcles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, not the least of which is Section 906a Article 106a, which has no statute of limitations, and carries the death penalty. I don't know about you guys, but I say we should believe the big rat.

If he ever released his records...there is probably a strong indicator in there about his use of grass...and would lead one to see that he has a permanent case of fogginess...because of the massive amount of dope he has smoked. With the crowd he hung out with after the war...and his often shifting stand on subjects...he reminds me of someone who has a little bit too much grass in his life...and can't really think anymore.

Anyone who's character is being questioned, such as Kerry's is, would move heaven and earth to disprove all of the allegations. Unless they had something to hide, that is.

Kerry has never been interested in proving anything to you. You're not going to vote for him anyway on current issues. All Kerry has ever wanted out of this is enough credibility and smoke to make a few relatively disconnected people forget they would hate his positions on the issues.

It would still be classified, (till 2043 if really top secret and nobody objected to automatic declassification), therefore Kerry broke bunches of laws if it were true. The main stream press will report on this just shortly after hell freezes over. Only 8% of main stream media types admit to having ever voted for a republican. Nuff said there. Another interesting statistic, there were "thousands" of people who registered to vote in both New York and Florida for the last Presidential election. 88% were democrates. The felons who there is now a law suit in Florida to get back their vote, also 88% democrates. I am not saying all Democrates are crooks, but most crooks are democrates.

Just as a matter of history, Nixon was not accused of sending troops into Cambodia till 10 months after he was in office, and Kerry was no longer in Vietnam. In fact it was just before Kerry met with the enemy in Paris. Maybe they wrote the story for him. Ever heard of a couple of guys named Ion Mihai Pacepa and Yuri Andropov? They have a couple interesting things to say about Kerry.

"Top secret. Yeah. That's why he's been talking about it ever since he got back from V."

One of the hallmarks of a malingerer we became alerted to in working with VN Vets was a claim of some heroic or superdangerous feat, which the vet was quick to disclose, but evasive about details.

When we pressed for details to get a semblance of a consistent account, it would happen every so often that the vet would say "I can't tell you, it's classified." That was a big warning flag that we were probably dealing with a "Stolen Valor" type.

Just so with Kerry. He launches the outline of derring-do but refuses to commit to any detail which could be checked out.

"top, top secret"

That's it just "top top secret"?! Man my grandma does those. Now if it was Super Duper, Triple Double Dare Ya, Cross my Heart and Break your Mother's back Secret, well then I guess it would have to be true.

Well, it is the special kind of double top secret that can't be confirmed by any other living soul, let alone any actual record. Also known as, "a delusion about a real life Apocylpse Now role, used once to impress people at a party, and towered into the skies since".
