"I had a similar experience at my Barnes and Noble. They told me it was Sept 2st and that a lot of people had been asking for the book. I went in person and the obviously lefty staff was very uncomfortable."
This is something you're going to run into more times than not. If you have any other book stores, try them as well. Remember, this isn't Clinton's book. Books tend to get on back order and local stores have trouble keeping up.

Looks like I will be calling the Wichita Barnes and Noble asking how it is being shipped to people already if the book is not out until tomorrow like they claimed when I went Thursday.

Everyone,
Be polite. Be persistent, and don't take any guff. Make sure the book is placed in front of the store when it comes in, and make sure they know you know about any Kerry literature they have hanging around.
Have your friends go to the store and ask about the book as well.
Most bookstores are in business to make money, if they know they have a hot item, they will promote it.
If you have problems with a clerk, ask to speak to the store manager.
Again, be polite, but be persistent.

Great review and thanks for the addition info.
I cannot believe the media is covering this, but like the CNN Station Chief covered for Saddam Hussein, I guess they feel Kerry is worth protecting.

Hay people,
How about copy / past the above book review and Email it to the people in your address book. The review is very compelling.
If they don't go buy the book, they will at lease have an idea of what people are talking about on the news when they keep hearing "SWIFTVETS".

MSM will cover this story when they are sure there is a story there and not just a bunch of 'he said/she said' innuendo. {although we all know they will cover such innuendo if it was anti-Bush}
Journalists want a hot story. If this becomes a hot story, they will cover it.

Ive been struggling to find a way to explain why this is so important to many of us
out here to those who dont find it to be important.
It's simple.
If people don't get riled up over a self-serving fabricator of
slanders on men who bled and died...
...then they are too concerned with matters of feeding their material lusts to give
a fig about old-fashioned, obsolete concepts like honor, honesty and truth.
It probably happened the same way in Russia before 1917.
But if they had an excuse...they couldn't even get a loaf of bread many days.

I hope you're right.
But the muted reporting of the "erasing" of Joe Wilson and Sandy Berger from
the Kerry website is not a good sign.
Today's MSM would make Uncle Joe Stalin proud.
(as documented in the book "The Commissar Vanishes" by David King...about Stalin's
"erasure" of truth)

It is clear from this and other sources that Kerry committed war crimes in VietNam. He was a loose cannon, shot randomly at civilians, burned down a village, etc.
He projected his guilt on his "beloved" band of brothers and the entire military chain of command, either to assuage his guilty conscience or distract from his crimes.
So Kerry was either a mentally disturbed man who could not tell truth from fiction, or a deliberate liar manipulating public opinion for his own benefit.
Either way, he is "Unfit for Command."

Once again, the caller was John Kerry. Kerry had clinched the Democratic nomination, and he knew that Hoffmann was organizing Swiftees to bring out the truth about him, his exaggerated military record and his antiwar lies that had slandered his fellow veterans. Kerry made the admiral an offer: If you will back off and drop your efforts, I will ensure that my biography, Tour of Duty, which I know is unfair to you, will be changed to make it accurate in a revised edition. Here is my secretarys number you can get me anytime. Wow.
I've re read this paragraph a half dozen times, and it still shocks me. No wonder the swifties are coming out of the woodwork to oppose Kerry. If someone did this to me, I'd bear every ounce of mainstream media backlash just to get the truth out.
And it's apparently hundreds of them, too. I've been in the military almost ten years, and I can think of only a tiny handful of people that, were they ever to run for President, I'd actually say anything negative to the media about. It would be for those choice few, the real vermin that you'd be negligent to not warn people about. In each of those cases, I'd bet a months pay that there would be hundreds of people like me willing to show up as well.
In most cases, I'd say it's appropriate to keep your mouth shut and respect the rank, so to speak, unless they're completely over the top. Senator Kerry appears to be deep in 'vermin' territory, and I wish the swiftees luck in bringing his actions to the light.

I wish the swiftees luck in bringing his actions to the light. Yes, luck, but also a great deal of help from a great many people. Everyone please go to: http://www.swiftvets.com and see how you can help.

My copy of the book just came in the mail this afternoon .. I can't wait to read it
In a word, this is about honor.
BINGO!
Kerry made the admiral an offer: If you will back off and drop your efforts, I will ensure that my biography, Tour of Duty, which I know is unfair to you, will be changed to make it accurate in a revised edition.
Very interesting comment ... and WHO wrote this book??
